Alexander is quiet and standoffish. He prefers to be left alone and keeps to himself. In reality, he is rather lonely but is afraid of trusting and getting close to people. Once he is comfortable with someone, he can be rather sweet and caring. Though, he is too revenge driven to even think about making friends.

Description

Short, at 5'2". Alexander has a slim build with slightly wider hips/thighs and a very pale complexion. He has short, around collar length, layered hair that is white and parted to where the right eye is covered. He has pale green eyes, with long dark lashes, that always seem distant or somber.

Alexander wears modern clothes. Cotton long-sleeve shirts, button down shirts, and jeans, with sneakers or boots, he will sometimes wear t-shirts (usually over-sized ones for sleeping). He prefers to wear darker colors, typically black, greys, greens, and blues. His clothes are usually a bit large on him. At school, he wears his uniform. It consists of a white button-up shirt, black slacks, a deep green blazer, black tie with diagonal green and gold stripes, and a black v-neck sweater vest in cold months.

Background

Alexander, also known by Alex, is one of the last members of the Craven line, a family of renowned vampire Hunters who are members of the Guild. At a young age, he knew about his family’s line of work, though they tried their best not to involve him, having decided to wait until he was high school age or older to offer him the choice of whether he wanted to join the family business. His being protected from their work was short lived, however.

On Alexander’s seventh birthday, his parents, Oran and Elise, took him to a park near their home for a birthday picnic, his grandfather planned to join them later after he finished a job. The Elder vampire, Aren Varstrel, made an appearance and caught the two experienced Hunters by surprised. He murdered them in front of the child, though never fed from them. Varstrel left Alexander alone, surrounded by the gore and his parents strewn about the grass in various pieces. That is how his grandfather, Hávarðr, found him, stood in the middle of the devastation and covered with his parents’ blood. The reality of what happened did not sink in until a few days after the funeral and Alexander kept himself locked in his parents’ room for a week, Hávarðr eventually had to break down the door.

As a result of witnessing his parents’ murder, Alexander became obsessed with trying to find a way to rid the world of Varstrel. Even at such a young age, he would spend countless hours doing research, despite his grandfather’s objections. Eventually, Hávarðr gave up on trying to stop him and began to provide rarer reference materials that only senior Guild members had access to. At the age of ten, Alexander was allowed to learn how to use various tools of their trade. Under the guidance of Hávarðr and Nikolaus, another Guild member, he was taught how to use firearms. The Guild member Misae, who is only a few years older, provided training with throwing knives, though he never took the time to teach Alexander how to handle swords as he felt that the boy would never have the upper body strength for close combat due to his slight frame (Misae also didn’t want to play teacher).

When Alexander is not at school, being bullied because others think that he's strange, he is at home. He spends his time drawing, designing firearms for the Guild, creating medicines for the Guild, and cultivating the massive garden in the backyard. He also enjoys baking, mostly due to his sweet tooth, and naps. Due to his liking of rabbits, his family would always get him a plush rabbit for his birthday, the collection kept stashed away in his closet.
