Theme [TBA]

There lies a hidden group compiled of the most professional, yet dangerous of individuals: They call themselves the Executors.

Their leader is the most cruel of them all. The Testator is who they refer to; this man determines the life and death of anyone who stands in the middle of their mission. Accidental or not, they are judged by this Snake unless intervened by certain circumstances.

Many victims often attempt to challenge him and his men; rarely do they manage to get out of it alive. If his group of assassins fail to complete their task within a certain time, the Testator will come to finish it in the most unexpected times. He spares little leeway when it comes to killing, even if his own kind are against the decision of taking their life.

The Testator, however, does not entirely focus his life on just ceaselessly murdering victims. If life proves to be unfair and an innocent victim is on the verge of death, he uses all of his knowledge and power to save them.

About

The Testator is as ruthless and fearless as what others expect him to be, in the appearance of an older and sophisticated older gentleman. He is calm, emotionless, and cold. Unlike many of his peers in the same line of work, he speaks quite bitterly and has a condescending tone. It's only natural to have several strained relationships solely for his speech. An apathetic individual, he lives his life judging one's life and death based on the logic and safety of the organization he swears his life to and the years of doing so has only numbed whatever decisions that would be made by feeble and weak-minded emotions. Whatever little empathy that he has left in his body still exists and quite rare for him to be acting on such reasons.
If, by any chance, he has some to be interested in someone - he will attempt to communicate through his actions or through a written text, as he's prone to speaking harshly than what he actually means. His true feelings lies on the little messages that he makes with anything else since verbally abusing anyone around him becomes a habitual problem. In short, if he's not insulting you or talking you down, his conversations will progressively be shorter than the last.

The only way that could possibly sway him to others' decisions and not his own, or to break him, is truly based on one's passion and perseverance. However, his age and experience, it's rather hard to sway him regardless unless one achieves the unexpected. And even impressing him, especially when one manages to defend themselves from his Executors, he will come to question his targets' intentions but unlikely that their answers will influence his decision in sparing them. If he truly did care, he will continue to hunt them down - but lead them to a pathway that will ensure their survival. Making them join the Prodigal themselves would be one of the very little ways to escape their inevitable death by his hand.

  • The Testator is simply a title, thus there is actually more than one Testator among the Executors.
    > There are currently two Testators in the Organization, one of them remains hidden and only the Testators and his superiors know who he is.
  • By definition: The Testator is the decision-maker among the Executor ranks in the Prodigal Organization. They determine who dies and who stays alive in every single mission. If any bystander, unrelative to the mission, appears in the way of the Agents' missions, they will be disposed of by the Testator and his men in some way if they prove to be problematic to them or the whole group overall.
    > However, this applies to the opposite cases: If an innocent bystander becomes threatened with impending death in anyway, the Testator will do all in his power to prevent their death without risking the exposure of the Executors. He, himself, may not be able to save one's life if they're suffering from casualties - but he is well aware that he has people to do that for him.
    > The Executors are carried out under the orders of the Testators and not directly by the Commandant. They're typically on the lookout for providing necessary manpower but they're only tasked with killing or saving people if necessary. Quite often they stray out of the direct command, which makes them under constantly watch by the Overseer.
  • Before the Testator was given to him, he studied and graduated with a doctorate in toxicology. Giovanni was once a well known toxicologist before he had been framed by his peer for murdering a victim.
    > Out of revenge, he poisoned the man who blamed him and then immediately ran away and sought the Prodigal to protect him from being sent to prison.
  • Often keeps frogs and snakes in his home; many of them are rare species that he often studies the nature of its poisonous toxins.
    > Every toxic and poisonous substance he discovers, he will also discover the antidote soon after.
  • In fact - to those that deserve death - he will experiment with a new type of poison. And he will challenge himself by trying to find the cure/antidote before his victim will die.
    > If they're lucky and he finds the cure, he'll still kill them off anyways.
  • He sucks at talking, it's as expected.
  • Has a daughter, though not by blood.
    > She was a newborn child of a father that he was pursuing and then kill out of necessity. However, by the time he found him in his home, he killed himself alongside with his wife; only leaving a crying baby in their crib in a separate room.
    > Actually a terrible father; he is constantly supervised and given advice by the Agents who were experienced fathers already. It's amazing how his daughter is still alive to this day.
  • Touch his glasses and he will break your hand.
  • The color green is an important detail to him and his previous life. Verdiccio wore the color green to symbolize their affiliation.
    > Though born in America, the older generation of his family were the central family and leaders of one of the most notorious mafia groups in New York, his parents and grandparents were raised in Italy. Because of his direct relations to his family, he is quite familiar with killing people since his teenage life.

Backstory

Giovanni was born into the prestigious Verdiccio family that controlled a portion of New York underground. Once thinking that he was simply part of a family with influential people in politics, it wasn't until his teenage years that he actually belonged in the complete opposite - the mafia. Witnessing the death of someone for the first time had once horrified him, but it only became a natural occurrence the longer he had been in the care of his fathers and uncles.

But Giovanni had little interest in partaking in any mafia activities. Instead he preferred to pursue an education before he decided to join his father, brothers, and uncles. And he continued until he received his doctorates. His success was only shortlived as he was framed for a murder of an innocent woman by someone he knew quite closely. Gio has little ways to get himself out of this situation except rely on the help of the Verdiccio family. He spent a months behind closed doors until he became furious and poisoned the man who blamed him.

Because of his family couldn't protect him any longer because they could not protect him from the law any longer, he resorted to leaving the state as quietly as he could. ...Or that would be his first thought. But it would be through word of mouth that there was an organization in America that was seeking for individuals who had nowhere else to turn.

(Story) The Prodigal

His entrance into the Prodigal wasn't very spectacular. Though one of the headmasters was impressed with his knowledge in toxicology. However, that was it. His connection to a mafia family may prove beneficial to the growing agency like the Prodigal but because of the incidents he had caused beforehand - made it impossible for him to receive an opportunity to join the Administration. Thus, he turned himself into the Commandant forces.

Those in the Commandant Forces, it was according to Theodore himself that he proved it through logic and sheer determination that many individuals during his missions would die by his hand. Even if he was strictly forbidden from killing anyone that would risk the privacy of their group, Verdiccio found himself butting heads with his own superior for the sake of the group. "Why is he not dead yet?" "If he's still alive, we would be at the risk of publicizing the Prodigal." and followed by "I will take care of it."

And with years, the Headmasters decided that the Commandant cannot take full responsibility of the deaths of bystanders - for the sake of Theodore's peace of mind. Instead, they created a new rank: the Executors. And it was obvious to who would be it's leader...

Relationships

Juno  [ Daughter ]

[Profile TBA and Picture pending] Juno is the Testator's adoptive daughter, to who he saved from the abandonment of her parents. He's not sure whether or not Juno is aware that he isn't her real father, but he's actually quite afraid to tell her about her real parents and his whereabouts when he found her. Regardless, Giovanni may not act like it (only because of his overall character prevents him), he cherishes her greatly and worries about her safety. Under the guidance of his agents and the other Headmasters, who are wonderful fathers longer than he was, Juno would be raised by not only him, but with the individuals that also work for the Prodigal.

Dr. Bowe  [ Partner, Rivals, Enemies, etc. ]

No one seems to know Dr. Bowe better than Giovanni (minus the nurse that works for him). Almost every single Prodigal agents only knows Lincoln as a wonderful doctor... but do they know that he is the other Testator? Their existence goes hand in hand - when Verdiccio is experienced in murdering his victims, Bowe has the power to stop him and often finds himself saving the lives of those that were supposed to die.

Bowe and him have a very complex relationship. First they were friends. But often they'd clash heads and get into eachother's ways, thus straining their relationship to a point they'd become enemies. And at some point they were temporary lovers (purely out of curiosity); this kind of relationship was very short and rarely they spoke of this. Nowadays, they are rarely found together unless the Testator needs a second opinion (which he barely needs in the first place).

Crimson  [ Subordinate ]

Agent Crimson is an excelled fighter and is willing to get his hands dirty with blood whenever he is asked. And no other man asks him to kill anyone as much as the Testator. If Matteo isn't busy with his current missions, the Testator will ask him if he could spare his blade or two.

Verdiccio is well aware of Crimson's social withdrawals. In fact, ever superior is aware of this. And he respects it. However, it would be the Testator himself that reminds this Agent that he cannot be working independently for so long and his lone wolf characteristic will not remain forever in his life as an agent. If there would ever be a time that Crimson will finally open up, the Testator wants to make sure that he's ready and he'll be the first to know about it.
