Ollie

The deuteragonist in my comic strip series "Hoodiemals"

Personality:

A pessimistic, cynical, and apathetic alligator who just goes with life as is without many cares. He lives with his roommates Pal and Alex in a rented apartment somewhere in the US between the late 2000s to early 2010s.

Ollie is a grouch and has a bit of an attitude most of the time, his most likely response to "what's your problem" is "which one?" Ollie is blunt and brutally honest in his comments, and because of that he's perceived as unintendedly hurtful. But when he wants to insult, his passive-aggressiveness shoots through the roof! He often gets heated in debated topics and is not afraid to speak his mind in something he finds egregious. When especially ticked off, sometimes he shouts “Well EXCUUUUUUSE ME!” (that's his catchphrase!) He's also a bit of a lazy butt and a couch potato watching a bunch of TV in his spare time, forever ignorant of the world around him. He's sometimes shown to be quite smart and educated, but it's normally masked by his deadpan and slothful look.

He’s Pal’s best friend and partner in crime when it comes to pulling off pranks, especially towards Alex! Ollie can be quite cheeky, however almost never up Pal's caliber, so he mainly tags along to help Pal deliver whatever punchline he has in store. However, when the joke is put on Ollie, he doesn't tolerate it that well at first and dismisses it as lame and dumb. But even they can even trick each other, they both still know it was all for a laugh. Ollie finds Alex very talkative and annoying, and sometimes remarks him as too stupid for his own good. They're slowly gaining trust with each other, but at the moment it's a one sided friendship.

Fun Facts:

• Ollie has known Pal since high school for a shared love of comedy
• He was born and raised in Florida and speaks in a deep voice with a slightly Southern accent
• Ollie DESPISES the cold, anything lower than 50 F will keep him up in multiple layers of jackets for days
• Ollie pays all the rent in the household and reluctantly keeps up with expenses since no one else is willing to do it
• Loves binge-watching multiple seasons of TV shows and anime in his free time and has even taken up a hobby of drawing commissions online
• A HUGE fan of comic books, his favorites are from a children's series he subscribed to since he was 7 years old (and still thinks the strips are unironically amazingly funny and a genius in humorous writing)
• He can actually sing pretty well, but rarely ever does it since performing for others embarrasses him

Other Notes:

He has a shorter and plumper build than the other two
He wears a stripped red and black long sleeve shirt under his hoodie

You’re free to draw him with pants if you don’t feel comfortable drawing him in the default no-pants look
You can draw him in any of his alternate outfits when seasonably appropriate (except naked, why would you ever want to draw him naked)
Anything with 2000-10's or early internet aesthetic, memes, and references are greatly appreciated too!
I would LOVE to see this guy in a Newgrounds-like art style, like the crusty audio, crude, random early flash cartoon kind of style I WOULD DIE FOR THAT
