Mara is extrovert to the extreme; sensual, flirty, and physical. Despite embodying finery and loving having people’s eyes (and hands) on her, she's more laid back in casual conversation than most people expect, and even crude to boot. She believes that pleasure of the self and for others is paramount above all else– If you aren’t having a good time, don’t do it.
She tries to get on everyone's good side when she first meets them but tends to be a bit of a gossip. As part of her job as a cleric of Sharess she is always in the mood to revel and party for any occasion. Even better if she gets to plan the party herself. She can often be found scheming with her best friend, Datta.
BACKSTORY
Mara is the only child to Adelaide Rosenthal, owner of a private Sharessan festhall known as Rosenhaus in the grand port city ofAthenport. She grew up under the adoration of her mother and their festhall's community, being an aasimar blessed by their patron goddess. Mara grew up never knowing who her father was, and every time she asked, her mother would deflect or give vague answers. She eventually stopped caring, but she suspects there is a reason her mother never talks about him. As she came into adulthood and began adventuring, though, that unanswered question has been prodding its way back into her mind.
Mara never had any trouble making friends in her childhood. She grew up learning how to sew, cook, sing, dance, and help her motherout with the many festivals held in their hall. She loved dancing around amongst the grown-ups and adored the buzz of parties. As a pre-teen and early teens, though, she grew a bit disillusioned with her life. People marveled and adored her but a lot of the times it was only because of her heritage. For a long period during adolescence she felt alone in crowded rooms and amongst friends, putting on a brave face and hiding her insecurities.
Things got better when she met Datta, then a traveling performer, and the two quickly became friends. Mara would go visit her every time Datta and her mother would perform in the city squares. Eventually, Datta and her mother came to live at the festhall as resident performers, with Datta and Mara being nigh-inseparable and best friends to this day.
FAMILY
Adelaide Rosenthal — Mother, priestess of Sharess. Mara and her mother are close, and not just because they look almost exactly alike. While her mother practices a more traditional form of Sharess worship, she respects Mara's interpretation of their already-loose doctrine.
Ramzey Dane — Father. An enigmatic and capricious man, Mara isn't even aware Ramzey exists. For good reason, too, as he is a person who takes his personal gratification to extremes. Where he is and what trouble he is causing, no one knows.
Normally, a hairline-thin, golden halo can be seen behind her head if she stands in the light of a sunrise or sunset. When she ignites her radiant soul, her wings are a soft white, with almost a peachy-pink undertone to the feathers. Her halo blazes to life and appears more like a crown floating above her head rather than a thin circle.
Mara greatly favors flowing garments; floor-length dresses and skirts that cinch at the waist to accentuate her hourglass physique. She tends to accent with rose-gold jewelry and decorative armor pieces. Red is the favored color of Sharessan clerics, but she also wears hues of pink, purple, and even colder colors like blue every once in a while.

- Mara is a distance fighter and dedicated healer. She mostly focuses on boosting her companions' morale and zeal with magical enchantments while occasionally sending off strong blasts of holy magic in between heals. While she isn't usually one to fight offensively, when her loved ones are in peril and fight is the only option, she will unleash all she has on their enemy.

They are the lovers obsessed; Kyriach is Mara's object of pure adoration and desire in every way. They share an open relationship, acknowledging their mutual desire to lay with others outside their romantic partnership. This has afforded them immense clarity and comfort in one another's integrity.
While the two are very different in a lot of ways – Mara being rather materialistic in comparison to Kryiach's stone pragmaticism, for one – Mara sees that as something they can learn from one another and "balance each other out" as she puts it. She loves him with all her heart, and has for some time, much to her (and her deva's) surprise.
WIP
As her deva, Zinfandel primarily serves to aid Mara in spreading the influence of Sharess using Mara as a sort of divine conduit. They were the only thing Mara felt relatively close to during her insecure preteen years. They often only communicate with her in vision-like dreams, or otherwise offering her sways of feelings and uncanny intuition. When she was young they primarily focused on protecting her from getting involved with the wrong people – that is, lovers that would do her or others harm and people who worked to sabotage the festhall. As an adult they have only become more cryptic and infrequent, but generally more positive as Mara adventure onwards.

- THE CHURCH OF SHARESS

The Church of Sharess is of a casual nature, and her clergy are responsible for the running of many festhalls found in the realm's large cities. These festhalls seek to indulge every pleasure imaginable. The Church of Sharess probably celebrate the most festivals out of all the faiths of Faerûn. These revels are known collectively as the Endless Revels of Life. Even daily events present a chance for Sharessan to revel; sometimes even the rising and setting of the sun is enough, in certain sects. Their most beloved festival is the Midsummer's Eve festival, where the pursuit of pleasure has no boundary. Sharessan clerics pray for their spells at dusk, facing the sunset.
