History
By the age of 18, Umiko decided it was time for her to leave her company. Even though she loved her groupmates and she learned a lot working with them. She knew she would not be happy in the long run and decided to quit for the sake of saving her passion for singing and dancing. Umi later became a solo idol with her own team where she is able to manage her own activities and be successful enough to support her family. She is quite busy these days with her idol work but this does not stop her from visiting her family every other weekend to say hi and spend time with her family.
In her day-to-day life, Umiko spends the majority of it writing songs, rehearsing songs, and exercising. She doesn’t have much free time but when she does, she spends it watching documentaries about sea creatures and space. She also likes going shopping for cute clothes. Of course, she only goes out in a disguise to avoid attention~

- Tend to impulsively purchase expensive astronomy equipment and gets in trouble with her manager for doing so.
- Prefers warm weather over cold.She’s actually very insecure about her shark teeth but she’s learning to accept it.
- She lives separately from her family in the city but she has bought her family a nicer home in Wisteria Town.
- Her hair accessories are custom made by Noa's mom (Natasha).
- Umiko goes by ‘Umi’ on stage. She didn’t really think too much about her stage name.

Relationships
Umiko met Noa through her idol work. Both being idols, they tend to cross each other's paths a lot and are often featured in-game shows together. They’ve known each other for quite some time and greatly respects one another. She feels that she and Noa connect very well and would love to be better friends with him but it seems like she's always being rejected! Little does she know, she has misunderstood Noa’s embarrassment to mean that he dislikes her. Umi thinks Noa is charming and wants to get to know him more since she doesn’t have many other idol friends who are honest with her.

One of Umiko's closest friends in the idol industry. She doesn’t have many friends so Junie’s presence means a lot to her. When things get tough, Junie always seems to be there for her and she couldn’t be more thankful to have such an amazing friend. They have a bit of rivalry between them but it's mostly to motivate each other. Umiko adores Junie dearly like an older sister but sometimes she feels more like her mom instead. Always looking out for her and nagging her to stop overworking so much. They share many things together such as music, fashion, and sometimes even daily routines. Their fans like to call them Jumi whenever they are together.
Umiko isn’t really too familiar with Noel since she is rarely seen outside but has seen her working at the shrine she often visits to pray at (she likes to drop by the shrine since she goes past it while she’s on her run). She does know that she is Noa’s sister since the similarities are uncanny. She has attempted to say hi to the girl (without knowing Noel is a recluse) before but she is always met with a blank stare so she is unsure of what to do to get close to her. Umi was hoping to get close to Noel so she can maybe get to know Noa a bit more from a personal perspective.
