Originally from Goldenrod City, Shades moved to Kalos as a young adult. After proving herself as a trainer, she set up a small gym in Kiloude City. Shades idolizes Valerie and her favorite place in Kalos to visit is Laverre City! She's a huge fan of Professor Sycamore and Wikstrom as well. Her dream one day is to become an Elite Four member.

For a ghost type leader, Shades doesn't look very scary at all. Although she may come across as spunky and energetic, that's just a mask she hides behind while she's battling. Without her gym garb on, you'd hardly recognize her - she's quiet, reserved and tends to shy from the spotlight. Keeping up that outgoing persona is hard work!

Shades loves welcoming challengers of all levels and takes battles deathly seriously. Despite this, she's not a sore loser and spends her free time fine-tuning her team.
