Exias strongly believes in duty and pursuing one's true path in life. Having fulfilled his role as a soldier, he's now put aside fighting and decided his time to putting his strength into words. His one job is now to make sure his protege, Sirel, follows his truth path now, and that is a big enough job on it's own with how foppish and non-committal that boy is. 

Exias is stubborn, and holds his strong beliefs. He will fight for what he believes in until the very end, no holding him back; he can't be stopped when set in motion if he has determined this is the right course. He believes he's followed the right course for his life even if not all of it was pleasant, it was what God had in store for him, with all of life's wonders and punishments. He's not the type to regret what he's done.

As a young soldier, Exias was fearless and righteous due to his celestial blood that pursued destroying evil. He was feared on the battlefield because he ripped off his mask and didn't hold back. Sometimes, he would go too far, even after a retreat was called or a surrender because he desires to destroy evil were too strong with his mask off. These mistakes adding up led to his wings being removed, so that he could be more easily contained.

His dear friend, Heri, made his mask for him: one that is sturdier and more meaningful. It harnesses his desires.

He retired from fighting early because he had shed a lot of blood in his time, and he was done with that. Words were his new strength. He loves to lecture.
