Spencer

Spencer is a nekomimi that was created by Daniel during his time as a scientist working in laboratories in a dystopian society. The exact reason behind why the experiment to create human felines in this world is unknown, however most people have come to agree that it was for an unusual need for companionship after cats had died out in the world. Those who have been experimented on are typically volunteers, but there have been rare cases based on the demand (especially in the department for cat cafes) where people have been randomly drafted into the program. Spencer happens to have been one of the lucky volunteers which is how he met Daniel. Daniel's admiration for the boy's personality earned him the honour of being his personal house cat.

Using a mixture between a Scottish Fold and a Munchkin cat DNA they were able to genetically modify him to be a perfect companion. Not only do the experiments affect the physical appearance, but also the personality of the individual. In this case, Spencer had become more kitten-like. After the surgery was complete, Daniel had decided to take his new kitty home to meet a Scottish Fold named Conner. Conner was an older male who had originally been very dominating and territorial with quite the distaste for what he only assumed to be his replacement as he was getting on in years due to a side effect of rapid aging when introduced to the cat DNA. After a couple weeks had passed, eventually the salty Conner had finally warmed up and taken to his little kitten brother. He had decided to mentor the young cat in how the home life would transpire from that day onward, allowing the two to bond.

Eventually the day came when Conner had passed away. Daniel held a funneral in respect for his long time companion, but the only one who wasn't present for the ceremony was Spencer. Not mentally anyway...

Spencer was permanently scarred from losing his friend and his mind became twisted. While many cats are known in society to come home with "trophies" or something from hunting perhaps to feed to their human owners, it was not an accepted act among the human felines in today's society. Currently Spencer has taken up a job as a part time host at the local Cat Cafe. He has made many friends and happily participates in many of the events, being considered a top host. His owner Daniel frequents the cafe. They both hold many secrets from the society in which they live in regarding the murders and sadistic tendencies the two hold behind closed doors.
