Profile
Joules is genderfluid and is fine with any pronouns. Joules has a lot of fun playing with gender in whatever ways they find most comfortable.
They’re very positive and upbeat, with a near-unshakable confidence that can be pretty infectious. This confidence occasionally leads to Joules taking unnecessary risks and putting themselves or others in bad spots.
Joules is really into film-making and has been since they were very young. They recorded all sorts of things with their mom’s video camera and made little improv movies with friends. This evolved into actually writing scripts and putting together actual short films, which only made them more enthusiastic for the craft. Now they have plans to study at a film school in Portland, with hopes to eventually direct their own feature-length film.
Joules likes driving and loves to travel. They’ve already been on plenty of trips (road or otherwise) and are always hungry for more chances at adventure. They usually record video of their trips with their phone or a video camera.
Joules and Harriet have known each other since middle school, but only in passing. It wasn’t until high school when they were seated next to each other in an English class that they started to become friends. When Joules came out as genderfluid in sophomore year, they received some teasing and pushback from their peers, but Harriet stuck up for them and threatened to beat up anyone who was mean to them. It was a silly gesture, but one Joules appreciated all the same, and helped to deepen their friendship. They have a mutual respect for each other’s artistic skill; Joules has this wild dream of the two of them making a film together, though Harriet doesn't think that's even close to realistic.
They think swords are cool.
