Robin's Links
Despite their differences, Robin has always been quite close to their father, though the two certainly don’t express it in the same clingy, gross sentimental way her older sister seems to. Besides her equine friend, he’s always been the one she’s gone to to talk growing up. She does recognize and loathe his dishonesty, finding it frustrating how much he chooses to simply disregard and smile through in denial. Still, she’s determined to better understand her father, especially since he seems to be the one person in her family who has always shown her the most acceptance.
Robin is Oliver's little pumpkin. The baby of the family. The adorable little rascal whose mischief always brings a smile to his face. Unlike her elder siblings, she's not afraid to stand up for herself and act, and was the only child that really connected to his Nightmare steed, Fleshrender. As the black sheep of the family, she surprised both parents with her amazing intellect; something neither parent even had any potential for. Every day she accomplishes something new and astounding, and every single one is a heart warming and welcome surprise.
To say Justice and Robin’s relationship is strained would be the understatement of the century. Despite being the younger of the siblings, she’s unapologetically bullied him for years. Though Robin herself probably doesn't even realize, her awful treatment of her brother is half misguided tough love, and half hostile jealousy, as the young psion frequently compares herself to her older brother. His self esteem issues aside, Justice is a high priest and talented doctor, after all, and Robin can't help but feel like she's in his and the rest of her family's shadow.
Recent events have left Robin keeping as much distance between her and her brother as possible. To say she fucked up is the understatement of the year, and she knows Justice blames her, hates her even, for what she brought to his city. Now she trains in Silverspire, attempting to grow stronger and be less of a shameful liability. She'll never acknowledge it, but she hopes Justice will forgive her someday, but there's more important things at stake right now....
Robin is cancer. Pure. Unending. Cancer. His privacy? Violated. His books? Stolen. His dignity? Torn to shreds. He tries to be the better person and not retaliate but his patience has been waning thin. The sooner she could leave him alone to brood and read in peace, the better. It's been aggravating how easily things come to Robin; how quickly she'd burn through books whereas it would take him weeks to understand. Her insults and jabs about his self-worth and skills would easily hurt less if they weren't in fact true.
Gods, she wasn’t aware there was a level of spinelessness below Justice, but here we are. As if his continuous self-degrading and generally pathetic attitude weren’t annoying enough, Lin’s got some connection with her Uncle’s body disappearing. Needless to say, she’s not exactly thrilled with him, though she intends to make sure he sticks around until he fixes what he broke.
Robin is less than impressed by the “friend” the twins have dragged along with them. She seems like little more than an uptight racist, and Robin is unsure why she’s even sticking around. Rather than just avoid her, Robin plans to call her bullshit as she sees it.
Robin respects Finch, though perhaps not so much as a mother. She recognizes her efforts, but her behavior makes it hard to view her as an adult or any kind of authority over her. It doesn’t help any that Finch seems unable to understand her in many respects, leading to a bit of distance between the two. Still, Robin cares for Finch, even if it’s more like caring for a younger sister than a parent. However, she’s not so foolish to think Finch is stupid; she knows and is quite fascinated by Finch’s incredible wisdom as a druid.
Finch has been unable to wrap her head around Robin for quite a long time. Robin quickly outgrew Finch in maturity, and ever since the two have had a complicated relationship. Still, despite being confused and a bit worried by Robin’s numerous escapades, she does her best to support her youngest, and is just as protective and loving of her as her other children.
When Robin was younger, Faith used to adore her baby sister, celebrating her strange interests and being as encouraging as one can be.
Nowadays, the two can rarely share a room without slinging insults at eachother. In recent years, Faith has been appauled to see just how rude and vicious her sister has grown to be, and while perhaps she could try and shrug off all the attempts to get under her skin, Faith positively loathes how Robin treats Justice, and will not stand for it! Faith is usually a borderline pacifist, but Robin has mastered the art of getting her blood boiling.
Of course she still looks out for her sister, and wishes no serious harm onto her, but if she could just keep her snarky mouth shut, it would be a miracle.
Robin reached out to Karin at a young age, having found through her mother’s letters someone who seemed to understand her in a way the rest of her family could not. The two have quite a bit in common, though unfortunately this does include a stubborn attitude and an abuse of sarcasm. Since Karin took Robin on as her student, the two have fought countless times, and while Robin will leap at the opportunity to give her mentor grief, she still has a profound respect and admiration for her. She’ll just make sure Karin never ever hears that from her. Though she recognizes Karin’s arrogance and her tendency to speak without thinking, she stands by her teacher, often defending her and supporting her wreckless schemes despite the disapproval of her family.
Karin refused to see Robin as much but babysitting duty at very first, but things have changed much since then. Robin has been... A good pupil, if not a cooperative one at all times. Their bickering and butting heads has always felt natural to Karin, almost satisfying, when despite it all the two never minded working together again even minutes after. The Warlock has yet to realize just how much of her father and her she sees in herself and Robin.
Finchs daughter. Doesn't know how to interact with her properly. She seems cooler and smarter than me. Wishes they would talk more.
While Robin would probably currently consider Alden her "meal ticket", she actually has a lot of respect for the King of Silverspire. Unlike her parents, she's more than privy to what a ruthless ruler Lord Silverblade is, but credit where credit's due; the man has his shit together, and only seems to be getting more land and power with time. And regardless of his status and ability, Robin feels some sense of loyalty to him, after how much he's done for her family and her education, and she's got ideas how she might be able to repay him and serve his army, should they survive the oncoming apocalypse.
The entire Cornwallis family is filled to the brim with potential, and Robin is no exception to that. True, as the youngest, she hasn't had her time to shine quite yet, but Alden is convinced that in due time, Robin will prove just as powerful as her parents and siblings.
As such, he has decided to do his best to take her under his wing, offering her an education and possible future employment as a member of his staff. She could certainly prove an invaluable ally to have, some day.
Perhaps it's because of her more animal-like appearance, but Robin feels much more at ease around her trusty bodyguard than most people. Sure she's simple, but she's fun, and she's damn good at what she does, and as a curious person herself, Robin is content with taking the time to explain things to her feline friend. Obviously, it's too mushy for Robin to ever admit, but Sanguis might be the best thing to come out of this whole "End of the World" journey they've found themselves in.
Sanguis likes her time with Robin. This time spent with robin have been a better spot in her life than she can ever remember. Sanguis acknowledges robin as the closest thing to a friend she has ever had, not that she might understand what a friend even is. Sanguis is trying to understand all the big words she uses.
