Their Story

TW Mentions of: Child Abuse, Murder

♡ September 13th, 1973 (0) - Cookie was born as what she thought was the second child. Her only other sibling being her older sister, Daisy. What a simple lovely family.

♡ March 5th, 1977 (3) - As wholesome as her parents were to her, there still was one main rule the girls had to follow: Never Enter The Basement. One night there were strange noises coming from beneath her room that were keeping Cookie up. She tried to ignore them but was unable. Daisy peeked into Cookie’s room to ask if she was hearing the noises as well. They both walked down the hall to see if they could find the source of the noise and realized it must be coming from the basement. The door was slightly cracked open, so the two kittens decided to go downstairs for the very first time. To their horror, they saw a grotesque sight of a brutally tortured man whose face was completely unrecognizable. His eyes ripped from his sockets and his jaw was broken. He was still alive, but unable to scream for help. The girls also saw a young boy locked in a cage on the other side of the room. He told them to run while they still had the chance. Their screams woke up their parents who rushed at the scene. The mother Linda brought down a baseball bat and blocked the basement door so her kids couldn’t escape. Linda was about to struck Cookie, but Daisy jumped in front and was knocked unconscious. Cookie being much smaller was able to run right between Linda’s legs and back up to the main floor. Cookie’s troubles weren’t over as her father Alexander caught her and held Cookie in a chokehold with a gun to her head. He told her that if she spoke a word about what she saw, she’d end up in the same situation. Just then sirens were heard outside and police busted in the house. All the terrified screams coming from the house alerted their next door neighbors who called 911 in response. Alexander and Linda were arrested.

♡ March 1977 (3) - Cookie survived, and so did Daisy. However Daisy was in a coma that doctors were unsure of how long she’d be under. That was all Cookie knew about. As to not scar Cookie any further, no one fully explained the horrors her parents had been committing for years. She would be visited by her uncle Kenny who wasn’t aware that his sister had any kids. He would take Cookie into his custody and raise her like his own child. His wife was named Marcy, and had a baby named Timmy. Kenny would‘ve taken Daisy in too after she awoke from her coma, but her mental state was much worse than Cookie’s as Daisy was more aware of what she saw. She would‘ve been unable to be adopted just yet as she lived in foster care.

♡ Late 70s- 80s (3-12) - While Daisy’s mental conditions were easier to spot, Cookie wasn’t completely unaffected from The Incident. She developed schizophrenia and would hear voices and soon see a figure. She couldn’t tell if it was hiding something from her, or wanted her to know something more. She’d be prescribed a medication that gave her memory loss in hopes to forget.

♡ October 1986 (13) - Cookie’s mental conditions caused her to be really bad at maintaining friendships. She used to be friends with Evie who she met at neighborhood events. Yet Evie didn’t like Cookie because she found her crazy.

♡ November 1986 (13) - Cookie started writing in a diary every night to get her feelings down. She loved reading and really wanted to become an author one day. Cookie‘s favorite books were fantasy. Getting lost in a new world was the only escape from her own.

♡ January 20th, 1987 (13) - Cookie always found Timmy to be extremely annoying and naive. She even wondered how someone like him could be her brother at all. On Evie’s 15th birthday, Cookie was planning to go out on her bike to forget about the party. Unfortunately, Marcy forced Cookie to take Timmy out with her. Yet Cookie was unaware of how aware Timmy truly was. When passing by Evie’s house, Timmy got off of his bike and knocked on the door. Cookie tried to warn him, but when the door opened, Timmy ran inside to crash and trash the party. He scurried off laughing with a cupcake in his mouth as both kids made a dash for it on their bikes. To make things even better, Timmy went out to buy her and Cookie some ice cream with his allowance money, but he accidentally fell and dropped it all. It was the thought that counts, and Cookie realized that Timmy wasn’t as bad as he always seemed to be. Her only real problem now was that her bike was getting older.

♡ September 13th, 1987 (14) - Cookie‘s family planned a scavenger hunt for her birthday that lead back into the garage where a brand new bicycle was sitting. Cookie was ecstatic, but even more so that it was Timmy’s idea all along.

♡ October 1987 (14)Cookie struggled a lot when she started high school. As a loner still, she sat outside for lunch. One day, some random graduate came to reminisce about the school and saw Cookie sitting alone outside. She went over to comfort Cookie and talk about how much fun she had at that school. She told Cookie her name was Daisy, and Cookie told Daisy her name was Cookie. After a bit of talking, Daisy realized who she was talking to, but Cookie wasn’t awareDaisy told Cookie that they were sisters that got separated after their parents were arrested for countless murders. Cookie didn’t believe Daisy at all because she knew her only sibling was Timmy. Cookie wasn’t even adopted. Daisy told Cookie to meet her after school to learn the truth. Even Cookie knew how sketchy it was to meet up with Daisy once more, but the voices she heard through the rest of the schoolday were telling her she had to go. Daisy drove Cookie back to their old hometown to show off their old house. Finally, the hallucinations made sense. This was what she had forgotten. After seeing her old room, the basement, it all came back. Everything perfectly preserved and abandoned as if nothing had changed. Cookie started distancing herself from her family as she felt that they had lied to her for her entire life. Why didn’t they tell her that she was adopted? Why didn’t they tell her she had an older sister? Why couldn’t she know how evil her parents were? While the rest of her family were unaware of why Cookie wasn’t suddenly acting more estranged, Daisy was the one to confront them. She wanted to plan an intervention to remind Cookie that she was kept safe on purpose and that the family that raised her loved her very much. It took a long time, but eventually Cookie chose to accept the life she was given. Ready to open herself up and fight her inner demons.

♡ November 1987 (14)Cookie was able to finally get help and was able to make a friend again in a classmate named Snowy. She was one of the popular girls and was always admired. Cookie seemed the odd one out of their group and felt like a social outcast. She also didn’t like Snowy’s friends. She felt that there was something off about them.

♡ December 3rd, 1987 (14) - Cookie was hanging out with Snowy at her house on a cold winters day. As Marcy came to pick up Cookie, Cookie realized it was much colder than she expected it to get. In order to help Cookie, Snowy lend Cookie her sky blue sweater. Cookie was so touched that she started feeling differently about Snowy.

♡ January 1988 (14) - Cookie didn’t understand why she was so jealous when Snowy had a crush on another girl named Kassie. It got even worse when those feelings were reciprocated and Snowy and Kassie were in a relationship. Cookie just chocked it up to Snowy being her only friend and now was only paying attention to Kassie. She always had a bad feeling about Kassie and felt Snowy deserved someone better.

♡ July 1988 (14) - Cookie had been trying all summer to be able to see Snowy again, but she was busy with Kassie all the time. One day when she called Snowy to ask if they could hang out again, Snowy told Cookie she was going to go roller skating with Kassie. Cookie got frustrated until Snowy decided to let her tag along. While skating, Cookie noticed how Kassie only seemed to care how cool she looked doing tricks and wasn’t even there when Snowy would fall. Cookie tried to tell Snowy that Kassie didn’t care about her, so Snowy shut her out for butting in on her relationship.

♡ August 1988 (14) - Cookie tried contacting Snowy again with no response. She decided to take matters into her own paws and walked over to Snowy’s house. On the way she saw Kassie entering a flower shop. As Cookie was about to say hello to Kassie, she watched another guy buying Kassie the flowers and kissing her. Cookie was furious and knew she had to tell Snowy the news. Snowy’s sister opened the door, but tried to push Cookie out. That was until Cookie told her what she saw and allowed Cookie in. Snowy was angry that Cookie was in her room until she told Snowy that Kassie was cheating on her. Snowy refused to believe Cookie at first, but deep down she knew it was possible. She cried into Cookie’s arms and told her how bad of a girlfriend Kassie was. Cookie informed Snowy to break up with Kassie as soon as possible. Cookie was a bit too happy that they were over.
