Quiet - Helpful - Rigid - Removed

  Locke is an odd fellow to all that know him within the Mercenaries ranks. An extremely skilled warrior, yes, but also one of the most silent men within the otherwise rowdy lot. There is something unsettling about his silence-- most of his crew mates nervously laugh off his glares, since that happens to be the only expression he's capable of.

He once had made himself a semi-safe living, wed to a sweet woman who fathered his children and was devoted to him, and yet this was seemingly not enough. He left without word, unknowing and seemingly uncaring of what became of his family and their wealth. Locke himself spent many years surviving off what the wilds could provide, avoiding civilization in any number of towns in nearing Kingdoms.
Neeya's militia crossed his path (literally) and aided in fending off monsters; the respect was mutual as Locke never left the company and now travels with them. He was never officially sworn in but is needed and kept in a high ranking position without hassle.

Trivia

• Only a few people know his name, and it's usually when he signs papers (not often seen)
• He is not mute or deaf-- he is known to be a patient listener to those who are not intimidated by his appearance, often giving affirming nods or shakes of his head during 'conversations'
    Though no one knows this, he has taken an oath of silence for penance through his religion
• Despite not speaking, he is known to be a bit of a flirt with some of the other soldiers, which is considered socially wrong-- he is often picked on for his egregious behavior when crushing on someone, especially since he'll never fight back against his fellow soldiers...!
