Suraj is magnanimous, warm and kind, much like the sun that blazes in the sky over his desert holdings, so it should come as no surprise at all that he is a God much beloved by his people. He deeply enjoys bringing life-giving rain to the parched desert, and seeing the mortals rejoice as their oasis is replenished and their crops spring anew. Really, he just loves everything about being a God, and as thoroughly as his people devote themselves to his worship, he's just as devoted to serving the best interests of his people and seeing his kingdom prosper. Still, as an immortal being, Suraj can get a bit bored from time to time, and although his worshippers do their best to brighten his spirits and keep him entertained, he has been known to wander off into the furthest reaches of his holdings from time to time in search of new discoveries, and little adventures for himself. These periods of absence are often accompanied by worsened drought, but Suraj always makes sure to bring fresh, steady rains home with him from his travels, and the cycle of death and renewal improves the health of his peoples' crops and has the odd effect of strengthening the fervor of their worship.

- VERY generous. Suraj loves to share his wealth and riches with his subjects, friends, and anyone with whom he becomes smitten. He's naturally magnanimous, and that's part of what makes him so well-liked as a desert God.
- Totally devoted to those he cares for. Despite being a God and constantly receiving worship and praise from his people, Suraj really enjoys heaping worshipful praise at the feet of his loved ones. He was startled by Nunki's weakness, but heartened by his haughty and assertive personality, and charmed by how elegant and lovely he seemed. If Nunki's in such a starved and land-lost state because of a lack of followers, doesn't it seem sensible to help him gain new ones? His people would just LOVE to worship the new consort of their god!
