Providence is a Heavenly Beast. He resides within the mountains below Heaven’s gate. Similarly to Demons, Providence gives powers through possession, however, his deals are made through a contract. Providence is a very clever and secretive creature, and quite smug about it. He hides his intentions and can easily manipulate situations to benefit him. Providence is exremely petty and willing to lie, harass, or blackmail others to get what he wants. He has very little contact with humans outside of those he has contracts with. He occasionally assists the military with Demon tracking, as he isn't afraid to form connections with Demons and then immediately break them.

BACKGROUND
Background
Born to the Beast of the Moon and the Beast of the Sun, Providence was originally a child (or more kitten) of the stars. Both of his parents watched over the earth, and his mother in particular seemed to pass her love for the earth along to him. The gods asked for Providence to be placed on earth as a protector, to guard it and its inhabitants from Demons and to grant them powers to defend themselves as well. Once on earth, Providence was separated from his parents and incapable of communicating with them, though it seemed to prove no problem to him. He loved being on earth and its inhabitants. However, as humans began to expand, the gods created more Beasts to protect them and the earth. The other Beasts cast Providence out from their group, claiming that his time as earth's protector was over. He was blamed and tried for the mysterious murder of his brother, Comet, and banished from Heaven. As an act of revenge, he taught Demons how to possess humans. Providence plans to one day retake his place as the earth's sole protector, no matter the cost.
As of current, Providence spends most of his time within his den under Heaven's gate. Elijah is his only living Possession, and the two cannot seem to hold a conversation without arguing. Providence has been waiting to take his revenge on the other Beasts for hundreds of years. The time is getting closer and he's getting impatient.
Anatomy
Due to living on earth, Providence's form has changed. His paws are much larger than the rest of his family's, and also have retractable claws that are capable of tearing through rock. He has large fangs. His tail resembles a scorpion tail, though it is unclear if he can sting with it, as he seems to prefer using it more like a bat. Like most Beasts on earth, Providence has a faux organ system that surrounds his soul. He has also managed to develop horns that appear similar to those of Demons, perhaps to trick them into letting their guard down around him so they are easier to kill.
RELATIONSHIPS
Providence's only current living Possession. Providence finds Elijah quite funny and entertaining. Elijah is much more alive than his predecessors, he has strong will and motivation, and is quite willing to do what Providence wants without much question. The two seem to mirror each other at times.
His mama 😔. Providence holds a lot of contempt towards her. Selene blames him for his brother's and father's deaths, and is still sour about him leaving Heaven. This only causes Providence to dislike her in turn.
Providence's father 😬. Providence loathes his father and his father loathes him. Soren disowned Providence after he left Heaven, though, he never really claimed to be Providence's father in the first place. After accussing Providence of killing Comet, Providence ripped out Soren's soul, with him putting up very little fight.
