story of daniel
Daniel was born in Merry, Kansas. As a child, Daniel always loved superheroes; from the life they led to the people they saved and how they were able to help other people. In primary school, he met a boy named Bryce Campbell. The two hit it off instantly due to their shared love of heroes, and decided that they’d make Daniel into a hero of his own.
Over his teenage years, Daniel became the hero of his local town. He couldn’t do much, but if your cat was at the top of a tree, or if you needed help warding off the raccoons from your trash, he was the one to call. However, on a cold day of December when Daniel was 14, an apartment fire broke out.
It was the apartment that Bryce lived in, and Daniel managed to save everyone but him. Still having hope that he could save his best friend, he ventured back into the fire. However, when he braved the flames and found Bryce’s unit, he found it already burnt through and everyone inside deceased, including Bryce. In doing so, he sustained 3rd degree burns on much of his body, resulting in the scars he has now.

After the accident, Daniel suspended his hero duties for a while. However, through years of therapy, Daniel slowly recovered and became a hero again to make Bryce’s dreams happen through him.
When Daniel saw one day that his favorite real-life hero, Jupiter was hosting a conference in NYC, he begged his family to travel there to see. While there, he spotted a small explosive device on Jupiter’s stand — and saved him right before it exploded. Due to this, Jupiter’s parents welcomed him into their lives and into their fancy NYC skyscraper.
…It wasn’t long before Daniel started feeling more than admiration and friendship towards Jupiter.
