1.2 Nova

Nova

Nova is a small gently spoken cyclot never wanting to bother anyone just make those around her happy. There is nothing known about her live before being claimed by spade in the labs. History of a cylot was never something kept record of by the humans. Not that it would matter with the destruction of the labs. nova herself no longer able to really remember anything older than two weeks of time. Nova herself would prolyl have stayed. a go lucky happy child had the Admin of the labs not deemed her worth of experiential advancement. To this day there no real telling what the injection where supposed to do to nova. The horrible outcome of the experiment speaks for itself.  

When Nova is hurt she suddenly becomes violent. A beast set on anger and rages. Her blood flowing like water and controlled by the hunger of the beast. A hunger for more blood and more pain on those around it. The very first showing of this dark ability resulting in the death of a scientist drained dry of there blood. Luckily spade was close by and able to contain the beast until it’s stolen blood ran it’s course and nova blacked out. Yet this was the start of the end for the lab as the admin demanded nova’s termination. Resulting in both spade and a higher-ranking scientist to turn final pushed past the breaking point.  The resulting conflict fire and destruction of the lab left Spade and most of the other cyclots trapped in the lab free. The admin and the scientist dead. AS well as nova. Or so spade was driven to believe. Yet Nova’s blood control ability had it’s own secondary ability of keeping Nova alive though hard ships. Even buried under the rubble of the labs and hurt. Nova did not bleed out or suffocate. Even passed out from the drugs given to her for termination had no affect on nova beast personality to slowly strive for freedom. Working a way out and freeing nova. Once free from the ruins of the lab nova was able to recover and wake up. Not even remembering anything that had happened or why her body hurt having just struggled for freedom. A small mercy for the still clueless and to trusting child. Her ability triggering and alt personality saving her genuine innocence and naive personality.  Nova spent th next few month wondering the wild her blood ability protecting here when actively threatened by those cruel enough to draw blood. Often attacking anything that moved draining the living dry. It was a lucky thing it’s first encounter with Spade had conditioned the beast to not go hunting for more things to feast. Simply killing any and everything it could with in reach and quickly dissolving to allow nova to move on clueless about the murder. It was a very off settling situation. As if there were ever any survivor’s nova could not understand why they no longer wanted to talk to her.The twin heavily split personality between carefree and blood beast.  With time Nova was rediscovered by Spade and was lovingly brought back to Spade new current home in a cliff side manor. Near the forge and mine of Toothless and Hiccup. Spade repaired for Nova dangerous ability. Luckily the other charges spade cared for own abilities protected them from any accident’s that happened. With time nova blood rage would stop even targeting them as if  Nova or the beast learned they where no longer active threats to her. Nova is still as go lucky and happy as she has always been. Even with the rage endorsed blood rages her ability triggers. Yet surrounded by family and those that love her very few accidents ever happen to trigger it. Even then those rounds her know how to stop the beast if it does show.


The very basic description of Nova ability is blood rage. When attacked or hurt in a way that exposes her black blood to the ability auto triggers lashing out at whatever or whoever attacked her. Stealing the creature’s blood and attacking everything else with a pulse. Fighting them in this state creates a paradox as more wounds retrigger the initial auto attack.  The ability also can switch from attacking to survival as it will actively keep nova safe and healthy. Slowly learning what around it actively tried t hurt nova and what instances of damage is not worth pursuing. Learning from it’s first instant of triggering against Spade in the labs.

secondary side effects of the ability makes nova herself immune to most natural occurring poisons except other cyclops poisons and can keep her body healthy for long periods of time when she is hurt by natural occurring issues such as rock slide or being buried under rubble. Stopping her form bleeding out internally.

Even for how dangerous an ability Nova blood rage can be. It has a two very strong counters against those that are prepared to face it.  As seen in the first encounter with Spade cutting the beast off form harvesting more blood from other victims. Nova only has a limited amount of her own blood to use as a weapon. To stay in the aggressive power scales, she needs to attack and steal blood from her enemies. Using the stolen blood to form the weapons and appendages to attack more enemies and steal more blood. The stolen blood does not last long to be useful to nova soon turning to metal dust. Once a supply of stolen blood is gone the ability start to trigger off as the ability switches to preservation of nova.

Another more useful way to stop Nova ability is to heal what ever initial wound nova received to trigger the ability.This is the most practical way to stop nova’s ability as any other wound she would receive fighting would keep the ability active and even trigger a new attack directed at whatever caused the new wound. yet once healed the ability triggers off leaving only the small, clueless, and innocent nova.

It needs to also be noted some are immune from nova ability stealing there blood. Be there blood be to toxic for nova to control or somehow mutated. An if attacking anyone with a healing factor contact with there blood instantly shuts down the ability instantly healing what ever wound the blood appendage may eb coming from.  This is a key note involving one of Nova new siblings.

Yet as part of Spades family one would have bigger issues then the blood rage if they choose to hurt Nova.
