Aelius has always been a very independent, bold and straightforward Pouflon. As a child, he often bit off more then he could chew. Luckily his older sister did look out for him, though Aelius was still convinced he could handle it on his own. He does however also have a caring and honest personality. He looks out for others and has never been afraid to tell someone off if he believes they are unfair, regardless of status or power. Back when he was still young he got along really well with his sister, Elara (aside from the occasional fights). She told him stories when he was afraid of the dark and they helped each other getting the hang of their magical abilities. These were very similair so they understood each other's struggles, unlike many other Pouflons their age.
Both of them decided to train as knights. But unlike Elara who has a stronger phisique, Aelius was viewed as less capable due to his shorter height and fragile looking body. During training he got yelled at a lot by his trainers and higher ups. With the constant negative feedback he recieved he started drifting further from his sister who did great during her training. Elara told him to put some more effort in it, that he would get there eventually. But this only pushed Aelius further away, he felt unheard and not backed up by his siter. He fled the knight academy and went to the place he always wanted to see: The desert.
Life was tough in Velourose. Aelius started out as an apprentice for a smith, but on the side he slowly started to join others in stealing jewelry and metals. After the smith he worked for got violent with Aelius, he quit. The next day his store was robbed from various metals and equipment. Aelius now leads a group of thieves that steal from caravans crossing the desert. Their hideout is a huge metal workshop where they can create anything from the metals and jewels they steal. His sister Elara, who is now a guard, dissaproves strongly of this. But Aelius knows she does some shady business on the side and calls her hypocrite. She still visits Aelius if she needs a place to lay low, but the atmosphere between them is still heavy.
- He still suffers from his fear of the dark. As kids, his sister taught him stories that he tells himself while drifting to sleep.
- He and his sister were so adept at magic that they started to form a night sky and sun around themselves. There was a time where he and his sister couldn't turn it off, they had to sleep with sleeping masks to get some rest from the constant light.
- Aelius is quite a skilled cook, his favorite dish is a spicy veggie bowl or spies.
- During combat he likes to make the sun halo behind his head appear. His opponents have a hard time looking directly at him this way. When he got in an argument with his sister, both their atmospheric sun and moon would shine brighter the angrier they got. These heated conflicts could eventually light up the entire house.
- There is a lot of nice colorful fabric laying around in his room. He tries to use it anywhere he can and has over 20 pillows because of this and a lot of curtains.
- Aelius is very fast and doesn't tire out easily under the burning desert sun. When he robs Pouflons he prefers to target those who look like they are not from around and can't keep up with him.
Older sister
Elara
Aelius has a rocky relationship with his sister. They got along really well as children, but their duties and life choices drifted them apart. He can act cold towards her as he feels like she inconvienences his life. But he has never taken the bracelet she made him as a child off. Secretely he misses the simpler times, and he still loves his sister despite everything. Would absolutely do anything for her if she got in trouble.

Aenon
Most of Aelius's workers are Vespires. Thieves are less picky about who they recrute and Vespires are very wanted with their scary looks and strong phisique. That's why Aenon was hired to be a sailor for Aelius, to ship his wares overseas. Thanks to his skills he later got in charge of the whole crew. the trust he has in Aelius is high, but his playful and mischievious nature often clashes with Aelius's stoic one.
