It's hard being the only detective in all of Silvarum. Everyone's always bothering you about some random thing that happened and half the time it isn't even anything important - simply something bothersome like stolen cookies and missing feathers. Karnal's incredibly tired of it all, but he stays on the job for the sake of his reputation and because, sometimes, very serious things actually do come up. Like that one time about ten people went missing for a week (it was actually some malfunctioning time travel) or when some mysterious evil force from the shadowed lands tried to kill Moonheart's leader. But most of the time, it's busy without being scary, and for Karnal - who would rather just spend his time taking a nap, it's really not the optimal thing to be doing.
