Detailed info

1. Hel's gem is constantly overflowing with excess electricity, that can be used in any way. However, most other gems aren't usually designed to be able to deal with such a surplus of energy, so with a good and sudden hit, Heliodor is able to temporarily overcharge their gem enemies, stunning them in a process. But she must be careful, because if the enemy's system is totally discharged, her powers can actually help them.

2. For a brief moment, she can turn her physical body into a pure ball of electricity, which lets her travel faster in any direction.

3. In extremely stressful situations, usually when someone's life is in danger, Hel will use all of her energy, including the overflowing one, and boost her speed, agility, and physical power. This ability is extremely unhealthy for a long time and often usage.

4. Because of Hel's reflexes, it's hard to catch her off guard. They're needed for quick orientation in hectic space battles

5. For accumulating even more usable energy, all heliodors always create a bit smaller fusions than their combine height should be.

6. Her subconsciousness is tied up to another heliodor (more info in "gem species" section).

1. Piloting spaceships

Trivia

  • This oc is stuck in a limbo between mains and secondary characters. She's older than some of my other main characters and influences the story quite drastically, but doesn't fulfill a particular requirement to be considered one of them.
  • While creating Hel, the only description her design was meant to follow was "Heli but gayer"

Destroying simple asteroids or creatures living in space is always fun. Being restricted by no borders in sight, flying around feels so elegant and relaxing, especially if you can share that gorgeous experience with someone else.

Opinion towards

The diamonds: "Not sure what to say, I don't think about Yellow or other diamonds that much besides knowing they're above me. In all honestly, before the war, I never even considered the existence of an option to disobey them. Scary how things change..."

Crystal gems: "This doesn't sound like an appropriate topic to discuss, especially in times like these, but alright. Since part of their whole movement is to be viewed as unique, I think it's hard to generalize them. Some present valid arguments, few fight out of spite, others have their heads in the clouds. I don't understand all of their goals nor motives, but I'm sure they're still gems like us."

The war: "I don't know, something about it just doesn't feel right. Gems against other gems, who thought that can EVER be a GOOD idea!? WHO ASKED FOR THIS BESIDES HESSONITE AND ROSE???! *sigh* Sorry for raising my voice, it's a frustrating theme to talk about."

Earth: "Would you believe this is the first time I've stayed on a planet for more than five rotations? Crazy, right?! Heh, heliodors barely spend time outside their space stations. And I must say, its openness is kinda growing on me... BERYL on the other hand, bhaha! Oh you should have seen her face when they forced us to walk on grass. She's having none of the organics. I either carry her around or defend her from the forces of nature~! *Dramatic laugh*... What a cute dork~"

Cross-gem fusions: "*Silence*... What exactly separates them from a fusion between me and my co-pilot?"

Heliodors: TBA

Oldest memory: "If I ignore the day me and Beryl met each other for the first time, I guess it's good to mention a post-battle party we once attended. There were spinels making us laugh, emeralds showing off their latest spaceships... But by far the greatest thing was the music! As we were on our way out, an old-fashioned song played in the hallways. It was so catchy that I just had to grab Beryl's hands and dance to it. O-Of course, we insured no one was looking at us, duh."

Linguistic: "Ou, you noticed my diary? Hehe, sorry, I know it seems full of nonsense, but these are actually unique words I noticed some rebels using. And no, I'm not talking about names for organics, I mean ACTUALLY useful and neat stuff that is missing in our language. Hah, I don't even fully know why am I archiving it. I guess it brings me joy...?"

Love: "Love love LOVE, oh how I loooove that word! (Haha, see what I did there)? Or wait, I completely forgot you might not know the definition! Well, in short, it means something along the lines of deeply appreciating something or someone. Sure, we can argue "friend" already serves that purpose, but from what I heard, this represents much more. And in my opinion, it's a thing Homeworld desperately needs in its dialect. How else am I- I MEAN- WE, suppose to describe those we truly care for..."

Resistant to

  • Electricity: Having electrical powers herself makes her immune to it.
  • Turbulence: A good pilot must be resilient to such things.

Fears & weak points

  • Heli getting hurt: She must protect her at all cost.
  • Cross-gem fusions: Hel thinks hurting them doesn't feel right.

Hobbies

  • Flying: Of course Heli enjoys the thing she was made for.
  • Study rebel dialect: TBA.

Goals

  • Be there for her partner: The most basic task of every heliodor.

Pre-war

Hel was one of many space pilots created right after a huge void creature massacre. A battle against primitive star eating beings, that threatened a potential colony's system. Since the alien life forms survived the first attack, it was necessary to immediately make up for losses and send new ones to fight. Therefore, not so long after her emerging, she took part in the biggest battle of her life.

Mid-war

Hel, her co-pilot and other 10 members of their station were in the first fourth of the Earth war sent to join the battles. The main war commander herself, despite having almost no use for specialized air forces, requested their presence. Upon arrival, it was clear none of the heliodors will actually do too much work, but rather entertain egocentric Hessonite by their affectionate nature and chattiness she remembers from the past.

Even though Heliodor spent most of her days enjoying the luxurious life among the upper class, there were moments she could fly around in a spy plane or destroy small rebel drones in the sky. One day, she got ambushed by a flying fusion named Sodalite, who grew tired of Homeworld folks flying above their heads. Despite Hel and her partner managing to fight her off that time, it marked them as future targets for this persistent enemy.

The encounters between them grew more common as years went by, never fully winning nor losing each fight. Just as the fused helis, Sodalite was a charming individual with good sense of humor and mischiefs, making their battles feel more like rough games than life-threatening situations. As time flew, both sides started to notice how much in common their love fusions truly have and genuinely started to reconsider their bad prejudices about the enemy site.

The breaking point, however, were the first losses among heliodor troops. Seeing her partner's optimism fade and close beryl friends get turned into nothing but memories made her realize she's at war. A war against her own people.

And with this losing moral, rebellious plans of secretly saving Sodalite's components from the conflict started to emerge. And so, Hel and her partner-... [DATA NOT FOUND]
