Personality
Alverich is quiet and reserved--or at least, he comes off as such to outsiders. He's extremely introverted and being in public makes him uncomfortable but when he's alone or with people he trusts enough, he acts almost normal. He's a bit more outgoing online with his D&D friends. His real personality shines through his work. Alvie is meticulous and careful, often staying up late to finish projects. He finds it hard to make friends, but that doesn't bother him too much.
Story
Alverich was raised by a single mother in Tuscon, Arizona. He was awfully shy as a kid and didn't have many friends growing up--until he met Lane. For whatever reason, the two became fast friends and practically grew up together. The two were inseparable!
Right before Lane was about to leave for college, he confessed his feelings to Alverich, who did not return them. The moments immediately following were kind of a blur for the both of them, but Alverich ended up losing three of the fingers on his right hand because of it. The day after the event, he packed his things and drove to the other side of the country to New York City where he now lives. He hasn't spoken to Lane ever since.
He met his now-mentor, Sköll, whilst getting a piercing repaired some nine years ago. Sköll crafted Alvie's first pair of prostheses for him--just as a personal test--and out of admiration, Alvie asked for an apprenticeship. Sköll refused at first, but eventually agreed.
