About
Mimi is an important secondary character in Lotus.
Lotus is not so much a story as it is a hub for tales to be told. The stories within Lotus are Tales of Tyrants, Queen’s Parade and Heaven Falls, in that order.
Mimi is active in the story during both Queen’s Parade and Heaven Falls. And closely follows Raylah, the protagonist, during her adventures.
Mimi is a very positive character, and the first willing companion of Raylah during her story. She is another morally gray character who albeit enjoys and respects life, has no qualms with ending it. This comes not from hatred, but simply from her simple nature as a slime.

Backstory
Mimi, the little pink slime, was born as a unique monster in a dungeon next to a village where adventurers would train by hunting low level monsters.
After witnessing her kin being killed by the adventurers, she decided to explore the dungeon and find a safe haven for her kind. Months of exploration led her to discover the core of the dungeon, a sanctuary where her people could live in peace and safety.
She led the slimes to the core; and the dungeon was eventually left behind as the beginner adventurers had no mobs to train against. Unfortunately, this made high-powered adventurers arrive to claim the rewards of the dungeon.
Mimi fought fiercely to protect her kin, but In the end, was forced to destroy the core; unintentionally absorbing its energy, causing the dungeon to fall apart and killing everyone inside. Mimi awoke later, alone in the remains of the dungeon.
A few years later, she’d be found by Raylah within the ruins.
Mimi as a Person
A loving heart in the body of a juggernaut. Mimi is a kind albeit foolish girl. Evolving from a simple slime, her intelligence is not one to boast of. Her empathy, however, is one which even transcends language.
Mimi's ultimate goal is to be happy with the people she loves, and this drive motivates her actions and decisions throughout the story. She adds comedy, love, and a little bit of hope into a rather more tragic setting, bringing joy to the people she's with.
Mimi's boundless energy and enthusiasm for life are infectious, and those around her can't help but feel uplifted by her presence.
Mimi in The Story
Discovered, empowered and cared for by Raylah; Mimi feels absolute adoration for her. Even after their many adventures together, even after Raylah disappeared into the castle for centuries. Mimi’s adoration never vanished. Dedicating her life to protecting her land and people.
Mimi passed her days skirting the borders of Raylah's turf to find people who either needed help or a beating.
Throughout the years Mimi has built not only her own strength but amassed a legion of other slimes met along the way solely through kindness. As it stands, Mimi is the general of the strongest army in the world.
The world's scariest creature is a darling.
Design Notes
- Despite the fact that designs with multiple belts are a massive pet peeve of mine. Mimi was made with the idea that these helped her compress her body into her humanoid form.
- Unlike most other normal slimes, Mimi is not quite as shiny nor transparent due to the compression. Her body has practically become a new alloy.
- Mimi's hair looks like a jello cup because it's cute. :)
Abilities
[Stockpile]
Stockpile allows Mimi to intake any amount of energy without downside. Upon surpassing the limit of potential energy previously stablished by her soul, the soul will just grow to adapt to the new limit.
The ability's soul development is permanent, and stimulates the evolution of others closeby.
Mimi's passive energy output has been improving her siblings overtime, which has allowed the older ones to begin to develop this skill too.

This ability allows Mimi to know exactly where every creature that makes up her family is. Additionally she will know if they're in danger, need help or are suffering a status effect.
This ability's connection to her family passively shares information regarding their surroundings, giving Mimi and her siblings a full map of all previously explored areas.
Relationships
[ Fiancée ]
Mimi loves Raylah, for she was the one who allowed her to live her life freely. Mimi feels absolute admiration for her, a feeling which, with time, begun to be reciprocated.
[ Friend ]
Mimi respects and listens to Thobias, which is a lot considering how oblivious she can be towards those who aren't part of her immediate family. Despite how both care for one another, there seems to be some sort of wall.
