Moemiki "Miruku"

Shijinno

Basic Info

Name

Moemiki (Goes by "Miruku")

Stage Name/Designation

M03-M1K1

Name Meaning/Inspiration

Moemiki - A combination of the word "Moe" meaning cute" and the name "Miki" being a boy's (though more commonly a girl's name) meaning "Tree"; The meaning wasn't exactly why I chose this name though, the original design was inspired by milk flavor and I wanted something symbolic to that theme; he goes by "Miruku" which is Japanese for "Milk", once again inspired by his original design theme

Profile

Miruku was created as an alternative to the typical Simulacra (a type of servitor that is most human like). Like the other Oto, his creator was a rogue tech-priest looking for a new way to meld man and machine to create a more perfect being, but also still appealing to various imperium citizens. Miruku was seen as quite flawed by the creator, which left a deep impression on Miruku’s psyche, leading towards him overcompensating for these defects with his own prodigious tampering. With each new modification to his systems, his sense of superiority grew, until he believed he was among the most perfect beings in the Galaxy. He scoured the Forge World Gantz’s nuusphere for whatever information he could come across, where he learned of the “Men of Iron” and the “C’tan”, believing he was built to blend the qualities of both. To this end, he kept toiling away until he believed he was in the form of both, a man of metal with the power of a star at his disposal.

He began traversing systems looking for his creator by following the trail of Simulacra made after him. He found each of his brothers lacked his vision and purpose, though he did study each of their systems, hoping to find ways of improving his own body. Each one seemed nothing more than an imitation to him, less in every respect save one feature, which he chose to copy in himself if possible. If he could not use the property himself, he cataloged it for later use.

By the time he had caught up with his creator, on a moon surrounding the Hive World Astaramis, he had met five of his ‘brothers’ and seen how their creator had abandoned each in kind. Leaving them incomplete and imperfect, forever doomed to an existence of less than they deserved.  Here too, the creator was working on another Oto, one surely to be as abandoned as the last. Incensed by his creator’s failure to properly finish his own creations, Miruku murdered the rogue tech-priest. He assimilated the components from the tech-priest's shattered remains that he could into himself, further completing his perfection.

Miruku then used his own knowledge of the creator's projects to finish the incomplete Oto. He ensured that this Oto would have what systems he had catalogued from the others where ever possible, as well as some components from the tech-priest he had not used himself.  Something was different about this specimen however, as its former human body held a potential the others had not. Knowing full well its potential, he gained the naive Oto's trust and treated him like a brother. Moemiki named this final Oto "Trigger" as a symbol of what was to come.

NOTES:

🥛 Miruku detests his designation name "Moemiki" and so he picked the name Miruku to go by instead as it better suited his tastes.

🥛

🥛

🥛 Miruku was the first made and oldest of the Oto.
