Splash is the youngest member of Catrina's team. He is very playful and is able to find fun and excitement in everything. He's very outgoing and extroverted, though he has a habit of accidentally pushing boundaries or coming off a little too quickly. He often leaps into situations before thinking and finds himself in trouble, but he never means any harm. Even as he grew up, Splash maintained his somewhat childish and naive nature. He doesn't take most things very seriously; however, he's not afraid to stand up for his friends if he feels they're in danger. He's best friends with Cearra and insists that he cannot get along with anyone who's mean to her.
Splash found Catrina while on her journey. Having decided he wanted to be part of a team earlier in his life, he enthusiastically approached and followed her around until she took him along. He had previously been living with his older sister, Blitz. Upon going on a journey, though, Blitz was at a loss. She didn't share the same optimism about trainers. Not willing to leave her all alone, Splash convinced her to go along with Catrina's sister, Bethany. Splash and Blitz share a strong bond even years later and frequently visit each other.
Splash currently reigns alongside his teammates as the Kalos champions.
