Rusbalt is a cold land, frigid and constantly and draped in white. Songbirds hide in the merciless wintery nights and sing when morn breaks, leaving Vetienne to echo a similar pattern of behavior. Silent and distant at first glance, before he thaws and melts into gentle smiles and quiet praises.

Background

There was a time when the land was his home and his presence was silent and omniscient. He could feel the lives of animals and creatures - scarce as they were - and he followed their lives from beginning to end. But at some point, the creatures became careful in their knowledge of his existence. If that god dies, so will our land. Life was hard enough as it was, without Rusbalt's crops - the hardy ones, the ones that didn't die from the biting frost - became inert and dead. So they take him into a noble family, raise him as part of their own, as though keeping him behind gilded walls and lavish wallpapers will keep him safe from the slowly growing tension between other countries. And so, his horns - once bright bronze and shining of metal - became dulled and bone-like, more reminiscent of the organic structures they represented. Still, however, his body was decorated with similar metals as the ones that he once bore.

Despite not being as omniscient as his counterpart from Estraeus, he can still hear the feelings of creatures around him in gentle whispers that tickle his ears. Likewise, it's common for him to control birds around him to do his bidding when needed.

When he speaks, it's easy to see the essence of Rusbalt leave his lips in small, bright snowflakes, perfectly matching the breezy tones of his voice.
