Ra’Khai Was born of a family of blacksmiths and miners in the far north of the Azvirahn territory. Being familiar with weapons and instruments of forgery they developed a hologram in the shape of a hammer, just like their father and grandfather. In their household this hammer resembled the unity of the family and the ideology that working hard, you can prove yourself and excel in the world. This idea was forged on them when at a young age a wyvern bowed and kissed the place where now his deep hand scar lies. Seeing this as a blessing, they gained the accent on their name to show off the wyvern’s approval. Young Ra’Khai always helped their father around in the family business, giving them great knowledge on weapons and how they are used. In the cold town they were from, there were sometimes soldiers coming for a quick fix to their weapons. Tales from the borders and conflicts reached the young ichgor’s ears and quickly convinced them to join the efforts to maintain their land in the northern region. Avoiding the progression of the Valhakrys on their mountains. They were greatly respectful of the government, thinking it was there to protect them, always with the right intentions in mind. This is the ideology their family gave them.

Enlisting in the war, the battlefront was not the great tales the passing soldiers spewed out but in fact, a horrible reality of cruelty and death he could have not predicted. The ichgors respect for high authority was as normal as any other but in the trenches all they found was sympathy for the enemy they were forced to fight for. Long cold nights lead to them befriending the Valhakrys, sharing food to not starve to death in the cold northern mountains and eventually, rejecting the idea of fighting overall. This put them in a really awkward position that ended in tragedy as their dear foreign friend was taken by the cliffs and heights of the mountains. The wanderer attempted to save them, to no avail. Leaving a permanent scar in a hand that was once blessed. Connecting to people has not been the same, even after he came back from the accident. Their inclination to follow blind cruel orders disappeared and with it they angered the celestial in their battalion, making them chip their teeth and lose respect they ever had for the government. Ra’khai was forced to do unspeakable things to not become dishonorably discharged. Coming home was not the same, they couldn’t see their people with the same eyes and thus, swore to a nomadic life, lost in the world, as their mind raced for answers to this emotional conflict.

Later in life, they became a kind wanderer that did odd jobs to be able to pay for food and stay when necessary, with it, they met a large array of people and gained a good list of skills. Being gentle and positive was always what kept them alive in these adventures. A kind open minded soul always lasts the most. But no matter how good they did, their heart always led them to yet another exploration, yet another life to live. Eventually they became quite good at breaching borders and simply meeting the rest of the world, sometimes with dangers and sometimes with warm welcomes. It taught them that the world was not so black and white as they assumed. Made both enemies and friends along the way. In recent years, they found what one would call a friend circle. They don’t understand what made them always come back, but yet they did and now are warming up to the idea of maybe, simply maybe, having a new home in a group of misfits. Ra’Khai is not one to carry much with them in their travels, small trinkets and memorabilia alongside survival items. They try to do honest living when they can, but when the situation calls for it, you may see them making rather gray decisions for the sake of survival.

Notes

  • Ra’khai carries a trinket around in the shape of fishes. This was given by the cartographer Aerazhai for good luck. The wanderer does not believe in such charms, but still has it as a reminder of why to always come back.
  • Being in the military gave him a very strict exercise regime. This made him a very early bird and is often seen going for runs as early as 4am. It is his primary way to shed stress off his mind. Run, tire himself out. Come back with a clear mind. .
  • Hailing from the north, they are an incredibly warm and fluffy ichgor. This makes them an incredible resting place for any friend that may need it. Carrying people never bothered them as they tend to carry way more weight in travels.
  • Because of the sheer amount of exercise they do, Ra’khai has an issue with food. That being that they eat a lot of quantities in very little time, making their rations leave fast and th us them being always hungry. Their friends know to always carry food when they hang out with the wanderer.
  • Coming back from their travels, they have a tendency of giving their close ones random things they find, including animals. One of this was Airos, a momuki that at this point became yet another friend in their travels. Sometimes they tend to give the fluffy monster to people like Aerazhai and just make them - deal with it while they are busy.
  • This ichgor is the closest thing to a nomad cowboy, inspired by gaucho and pampa culture, they carry a heavy accent and an infinite tolerance for alcohol. They prefer stacking supplies in taverns and inns where sometimes they can offer help in the form of security and bartending.
