They dye their mane and tail, and shave their mane. The hairs are naturally a dark brown color.
Their bent right ear is the product of an injury they sustained as a foal, and they struggle to hear out of it.
The perpetual dark circles under their eyes developed into markings and are now permanent.
While they were born with a horn and wings, they are not an alicorn and hate being asked if they are, or compared to the royal creatures. The development of both a horn and wings, as well as slitted eyes and webbed wings, are thought to be mutations caused by the large genetic separation between their parents' species.
Their wings can be drawn either webbed and feathered, or just feathered.
Despite being a hybrid they are oddly not sterile.
They were born to a pegasus mother after her short fling with a Kirin. Hex Code was raised in modern pony society and has only ever visited the Kirin village a few times to learn about their heritage. They have very little interest in their father.
They were always drawn to electronics and art, but their cutie mark only appeared after they drew digitally for the first time.
Their name is a play on the term 'hex code' referring to the six digit code each color is given and identified by online. Individually the word 'hex' is indicative of their pride in their witch ancestry and their satanic beliefs, and 'code' represents their love of video games and the internet, which would be impossible without the proper coding.
