Ignatius comes off a bit unhinged and dreary when you meet him; he mumbles to himself, avoids eye contact, and laughs randomly at things he thinks about. He's an odd character but not necessarily a bad or dangerous one. He is usually quite kind and willing to go out of his way to help those in need, even if they don't ask. He can pick up the energy in a room unusually well and seems to know exactly what is bothering someone. Sometimes the advice he may give can be a bit unethical, but it always turns out great in the end for those he is helping. If he randomly stares into space when he talks, or simply smiles at nothing, don't worry, he just gets a bit lost in thought some times.
If anyone asks him about his family, Ignatius will withdraw and may even get a bit scary. Sometimes he'll imply that they are dead or that they are a lost cause. For those he says the latter to, it causes confusion, as he is a priest- surely he must think that no one is beyond saving. Prying further will cause him to shut down and simply bid good day.
Ignatius abhors what he is and so goes above and beyond to try and earn his way back into the "favor of god". He thinks that being born a demon was a mistake or even a test of faith so that he will have to fight to reclaim his lost angelichood. He rejects his true nature and only does what he needs to to minimally survive. He sees non-humans or non-divine creatures as demonic and lesser, and does not interact or try to help them unless he takes something as a divine sign to do so.
His holy focused life has affected his demonic form and has warped it horribly. He appears massive and malnourished, with rotting skin and limp wings. Twisted numbs of angel wings have sprouted from his shoulders, and are near bald with only a few black feathers. They will never grow any more.
Born to a (sleeping, unaware) human mother and incubus father like every incubi, Ignatius came into the world not much different than his peers. He was raised in hell by his strict father, who expected his children not only to succeed as incubi but also as heirs to his position in the demonic court. The demonic court consists of seven sections, with the sex demon section holding nine exalted families- Ignatius' being one of them.
Ignatius abhorred what he was from a young age and refused to take energy from mortals more than what was needed to minimally survive. He had a soft spot for humans and romanticised the idea of becoming one of them. As the first born heir, he was a disappointment to their father who constantly pushed him to be like Vincentius, his younger half-brother and the favorite son. Vincentius did not try to encourage his brother to embrace his nature or even to revolt, and instead was cocky and mocked him at any chance he had. This grew a rift between the brothers from a young age, and encouraged Ignatius to hold a deep resentment for his younger sibling. When Vincentius got into some trouble with the demonic court, it gave Ignatius an opportunity to finally rid himself of his arrogant brother. Giving him purposefully bad advice, Vincentius ended up chained out of hell and his wings and horns removed by Ignatius himself.
This escalated his delusions even further and Ignatius began to think that he should not be a human, no, he should be an angel, or even a god. He should pass judgement onto demons like his brother and earn his place back in heaven, where he was meant to go. Being born a demon was either a test of faith or simply a mistake.
Priesthood
After Ignatius' revelations, he went away from hell and to a highly religious world that was in the midst of falling apart. He donned the disguise of a priest and took over a zealous congregation.

Modern Day

- Ignatius begins his fight completely wrapped up in his priest robes. He exclusively attacks in divine magic and is extremely avoidant of attacks. This is the easiest phase and the key is to stick as close to him as you can. Once he reaches half health he will enter his second phase.
- The second phase begins with a brief cutscene where Ignatius falls to the ground, his staff broken into two. He stands, and as he does so, he flares back his robes to reveal an imitation of an angel's six wings briefly. It falls behind him to fully reveal his armor and he picks up the two pieces of his staff in either hand. He is much more aggressive during this phase and will both chase after the player and dance around them depending on his attacks. He will use the handle of his staff like a spear and swing and stab using it. The top part of the staff in the other hand will still be used to cast magic, but this time casting a much stronger and destructive arcane magic rather than divine. Once Ignatius' health reaches zero will he enter his third and final stage.
- Another cutscene will play once Ignatius' health reaches zero. He will collapse to his knees on the ground, gasping and coughing up blood. He will look to the sky and cry out a brief monologue to his god, eventually riling himself up to the point he angrily and uncontrollably transforms into a massive mutated demon. He stands, his health resets to full, and so begins the final phase. He will be extremely aggressive during this phase but not as fast as the others. He will attack with his claws and cast illusions around the space to trick the player (fake visages of himself, darkening the space, warping the space into odd environments, or even transforming into people the player may love). Long range battle will be the way to go for this fight. Once Ignatius' health reaches close to zero he will collapse to the ground crying and begging the player to kill him. The player may choose to spare him or execute him. If the player chooses to spare Ignatius, he will appear later as a friend.
