Knight started out his life as many did, in a caspsule. While he was mostly grown during the time of Kitvoren imprisonment and study at the experimental facility. The scientist, at this time, had decided not to activate anymore Kitvoren due to the frequent problems and lack of funding, keeping Knight in a state of stasis. However he was able to absorb some limited input from outside the pod once his body had grown capable enough to process the input. Knight wasn't concious during this time, however this was something he was able to process later, as if in a dream. When the facility was torn down, his pod was accidentally concealed behind fallen cabinets. While the facility was primarily powered down, the radiation the explosion generated kept Knight alive and sustained.

Perhaps it was the radiation finally reaching a low enough dosage it caused Knight's body to convulse in a self-preservation instinct, or perhaps it was something else entirely, however the stasis became interrupted, pod broken. From here, the newly awoken Kitvoren tried to take stock of his surroundings, eventually discovering the tunnel that lead down into the swamps below the earth. Here he lived for many years until eventually finding his way back above ground, to discover this new world.
