Personality

Echo carries herself with the unyielding firmness one might expect from an older charr, but her caring nature lurks right below the surface. Not that she tries to hide it, but a lifetime of working with highly sensitive information has ingrained in her a desire to appear neutral and strong. While she does not deny the effectiveness of the way she herself was raised, she holds much contempt for the societal pressures on young cubs in charr society today. But in a cuthroat society it can be hard, even for someone of her veteran standing, to appeal to elders with a narrow view of work ethic. As such, she prefers to act instead of bickering, by volunteering as an educator with a different approach. This way, she can plant seeds of kindness and patience early in the minds of cubs, to hopefully lead to a better society in the future.

Outside of work, especially during her visits to the Olmakhan village of Atholma, her demeanor is much more relaxed. She is quick to try new things, and include others in her discoveries and interests. While she enjoys her varied work, she does not consider it her life, like many of her peers. She has a great interest in the finer things in life, always absorbing new information whenever she is able. Her interest in other races and their cultures throughout her life has earned her familiarity and open arms in many settlements and cities, often acting as an unofficial touchstone between them and her own race. She, among others, acted on their own volitions as agents on the ground floor during the peace negotiations leading to the Ebonhawke Treaty, as a kind and understanding presence among nervous humans and charr.

Voice

Deep, raspy, full of wheezy breaths. Usually not very talkative in social situations, with some exceptions.

Physical

Echo is rather small for a charr, but don't mistake her size for lack of strength. She is beefy as hell, despite her age. Her base coat is a sandy beige, lightening toward the belly, and patterned with dark - almost purple - leopard spots. Her hair matches the spots, styled to be as tall and spiky as possible, but still mainaining a certain softness. Her face's fur is short, thin enough in areas to show her wrinkled skin underneath. Her signs of age and a life filled with fighting are obvious; with a blind left eye directly contrasting her natural dark gray eye color. The areas around her nose and lips are littered with age spots, and she has several damaged teeth. The most noticeable of which is her upper left canine, which is broken off. Her horns are fairly large, and in surprisingly great condition. They are gnarled, the main two decorated with horizontal striped carvings running across their length. In addition to the more common double sets, the middle of her forehead is broken up by two smaller, spiky ones.

She takes great care of her main set of rather flashy armor. Specifically designed to match her weapons of choice, the Ambrite set, her armor features mostly golden, orange and brown hues, with much of the base layer of clothing dyed indigo, similar to her hair. The armor itself is wholly charr in design; full of sharp edges and intricate designs. Her pauldrons were, in fact, modeled after those present in depictions of the legendary Kalla Scorchrazor, who she idolizes.

Romance and sex

Like the rest of charr society at large, she does not place much significance on monogamous and long-lasting relationships, though she does dabble in flings, now and then. She was even known to experiment with women of other races, in her youth; norn especially.

Fighting style and warband

Mostly favors the shortbow, but also carries a mace and axe on her at all times, for close quarters combat. Her style is a fine mix between ally support and devastating damage; channeling Kalla and Mallyx. While still capable in her old age, her stiffer joints and slower reflexes has her preferring a rear position. All her weapons are from the Ambrite set.

While no longer as relevant to her lifestyle, she is also a master of subterfuge and surveillance from her tutoring under the Ash Legion. Her warband, Phantom, were once great spy assets, though their effectiveness has diminished as they age and die off. Now, only a handful remain, mostly delegated to different, more stable jobs closer to home.

Occupation and lifestyle

While she still takes on odd scouting jobs now and then, her workday mostly consists of smaller jobs closer to home. Guard duty, fahrar cub tutoring, farming help, etc. After the Pact established contact with the Olmakhan, she has also made herself available to them, should they need extra hands. Now, she considers their humble village a second home, a gaggle of cubs always following her to hear stories from her past life.

Her slower lifestyle means she has plenty of time to develop skills and hobbies outside of work, namely cooking. Always a lover of food, her passion has only grown since her introduction to the Olmakhan, acting as an invaluable resource and space to work on her skills.

Current ideas for home: Dewclaw Village (Iron Marches), Ebonhawke??? (Fields of Ruin), Irondock (Plains of Ashford). A decently sized area within Ascalon, preferrably. An area within charr territory but with plenty of other races?
