Kenasif is gruff and stubborn to socialize, but incredibly proud of her skills and prowess in battle. She likes talking about her own interests to some degree, but otherwise she is not very emotive or talkative at all. She provokes a lot of unneeded aggression because of her temper and knee-jerk reactions to fight. She collects unique blades as a hobby and is quite knowledgable on the subject, and can play a mean hand of cards. In general, she's a lot more cunning than she lets on, and she prefers to keep it that way. Her weaknesses are Orcish cuisine and her girlfriend, Miya.

She has recently tried to be more open to friendships with others, trying hard to tolerate people she normally would not care to associate with. Unfortunately, making a deal with a devil has left a detrimental side-effect: her temper even worse than before. She flies into a full-on rage much more easily now... Hopefully that can be resolved one day.

B A C K S T O R Y

Kenasif was born to the Gold Fang Horde, a huge nomadic collection of orcs that live in the steppelands. Known for gilding their tusks and weapons with gold, they struck deals with cities and towns to become guards and fighters to them in their conflicts in exchange for resources and/or money. She was born to one of the horde's clan heads and a human blacksmith. Their marriage unified her clan, the horde, and his small industrial village, but it wasn't built to last. Once Kenasif was old enough to swing a dagger her mother whisked her away to the horde to be around other orc children. With this alongside some other strains, her parents ended their marriage.

Through visits to her father's smithy, Kenasif grew to admire the craft and adored helping him work the forge. He taught her the very basics and even made her some custom weapons (albeit with somewhat blunted edges, given Kenasif's rowdines and habit of picking fights).

As a child and into her preteens, Kenasif considered herself to be equal to any orc and would act out in extremes if that was put into question. She earned the nickname Lash from all the fights she would pick, and she wore it with pride for a time. Once she was of age she left the stronghold with her mother to join an outriding group of the horde as a sellsword. She thrived, and became one of the most promising young fighters.

Eventually, word spread to the horde that a number of the towns hosting the Gold Fang Horde were murdering the Orcish guards, leaders, and residents, and going back on their treaties and contracts. Resources from several areas were cut off from the horde, and the horde payed them back in kind. Kenasif's mother opposed the idea at first, favoring firm but honest diplomacy to bring them to trial, but Kenasif was too proud for her to sway. She went along with the dispatch to ransack the towns and left nothing but destruction in her wake. She began amassing weapons picked from the bodies she's slain into a grim collection of trophies.

At one point, she overheard her mother had gotten killed for siding with the townspeople, and in one of the battles Kenasif faked her own death and became "missing in action". She left before anyone could tell her there was a mutiny against the commander that ordered her mother's death, who was killed for his treachery.

Now under the assumption the horde thinks she was dead, Kenasif cut her hair and tracked down her fathers village. He accepted her with open arms. She denied being part of the ruin she'd been causing before, but her father already knew of the carnage she had caused. Feeling like she was only going to bring harm to her father and ashamed of what she'd done to his honor, she left the village shortly after arrival.

She traveled as far as she could, taking up whatever jobs would pay well no matter how morally dubious they were. She kept on collecting weapons from her quarries, eventually favoring that over any money they owed her client. Eventually, enough was enough. The weight of her wake of destruction currently and in the past was weighing too much on her, and she needed a higher purpose, and quit bounty hunting for good too seek a better life.

F A M I L Y

Giirah Kaggrig — Mother. A strong and well-acclaimed leader of the Kaggrig clan, Giirah was equally as powerful at the parley table as she was on the back of her giant hyena. Kenasif admires her intensely even in death, and looked forward to taking up the mantle once her mother passed it on.

Shir Asorouri — Father. An introspective and sensitive man, Shir was not one for violence, but knew when to draw a sword when he needed. He preferred to stick to his craft as much as he could, and he and Kenasif's best bonding times were at the forge together.

Khurna Kaggrig — Adoptive sister. Khurna and Kenasif stuck together like glue growing up. They rode together, fought together, sang together, and were lethal when facing enemies togehter. Their bond was unbreakable then, but Kenasif is certain Khurna's pride has led her to hate her now.
