Basics:

A cruel & cultish organization, FAITH stands for “Frailty & Ineptitude to Hell.” One might tell from the acronym alone that FAITH’s core beliefs are about being strong & agile. Survival of the fittest! The strong live! The weak die! Hahaha! We’re completely messed up!

The Master and the Deputy:

The FAITH master is the leader of FAITH. They’re also called “The Master” when being referred to, & “Master“ when being spoken to directly.

The Master also has a deputy, who, similarly to the Master, is called “The Deputy” when being referred to, & “Deputy” when being spoken to directly. Additionally, though, the Deputy may simply be referred to and spoken to directly with their name.

The Master stays put within the FAITH community, always keeping a watchful eye on all the goings-on, while the Deputy’s job is to go out into the world so that they can continuously report back to the Master. As long as information doesn’t get leaked, the Master & the Deputy are the only members of FAITH who are aware what happens outside of their community.

Grading Babies:

FAITH children are given a grade by the FAITH Master once they turn one year old. This grade is based on how healthy & strong the baby became at the end of their first year. The first part of the grade is the letter, which can be A to F. A is stronger & F is weaker. Then comes the number. That can be 1-10. 10 is stronger & 1 is weaker.

A FAITH member’s name is composed of their grade & their date of birth, but they’re most commonly addressed with only the grade part of their name. Take A6, for instance. His full name is A6 (2-29-2000).

How the Lives of FAITH Members are Influenced by their Grades:

Kids with A & B grades are well-respected & immediately start being trained to be as strong, tough, & gritty as possible by their parents, & ones with C & D grades start working as servants to the Master once they turn five years old.

& finally, any kid who gets an E or F in their grade has either one of two outcomes: One, the child is abandoned deep within the forest. (Yes, I’m afraid the forest scenario is kind of stereotypical, but it fits the story.) Or, two, the child is killed by their parents. Whether the child is abandoned or killed is up to the parents, as long as no one cares for the child.

As life progresses for FAITH members, the ones with C & D grades are never cared for, respected, or loved much at all, and are simply viewed as tools.

For FAITH members with high grades, in life they are simultaneously the most well-respected and the most ill-treated members due to mountains of demanding pressure being placed on them.

Extra Info:

There are many members of FAITH, but at the moment A6 is the only member I’ve made an actual character. More will come eventually!
