Profile

Origins:

Rather than being naturally born Orion was created by a cambion named Flint. In this world dracolichs (undead draconids) have a special magic infused "blood" that can heal any injury or poisoning. Flint wanted to perfect the process of creating dracolichs so he could have an endless supply of this substance to use in his war against humans. Orion was a semi-success: he developed physically and mentally normal, but came out mortal and lacked the magical blood. Instead of culling him like other partial failures Flint saw enough value to keep him around as a blueprint for future experiments and also as a potential fighter.

Build/Physical:

General: White skin, silver-grey hair, light minty green eyes with pupils that are only noticeable up close. He has a pair of wings that are patterned with large eye spots in shades of blue, but he usually keeps them shifted away out of convenience.  The tip of his tail is covered in a blue fur that's normally very soft and silky when attached to him, but he can consciously shed it into thousands of fine irritating hairs that can cause temporary blindness and breathing difficulties. It's perfectly safe to handle otherwise, and he loves having it brushed.

Scars: A large keloid scar in the center of his chest that spreads outward, and lighter, flat slash marks on his back.

Personality:

A literal gentle giant, he's terribly aware of how much stronger he is than everyone else and is very careful when dealing with others. Despite being trained and knowing how to fight he hates it, and if a conflict involves only himself he'll try to retreat before doing anything physical. If it involves other people he'll fight until either he dies or the threat is removed.

He's quiet, patient to a fault, and polite, but closed off and wary of strangers. Far prefers to observe new people before interacting. With friends he's jovial and goofy, and outside observers might mistake him as being immature or unskilled, even though that's far from the truth.

Walking garbage disposal, he'll eat just about anything and everything, including normally inedible items like tree bark. Given a choice he prefers fresh, unprocessed food including raw meat, bones, and raw eggs, which are eaten along with the shell. Also enjoys high fat, calorie dense foods.

Suffers from PTSD and nightmares that sometimes trigger episodes of panic where he loses his sense of where he is.

Most people can't reach it but on the off chance you can, try not to touch his face. He'll react violently and you'll both feel terrible for it.

Abilities:

Average eyesight, phenomenal sense of smell.

An unintentional side effect of Flint's tinkering has given Orion enhanced strength and rapid healing. The healing comes with a downside though: it requires vast amounts of fuel so he's far more susceptible to starvation than normal beings. If he's injured and can't eat enough to repair it, or doesn't have enough stored energy, it won't heal, so he's much more likely to die from lack of food than damage. His habit of eating all the time (and eating normally inedible objects) is a source of humor for strangers but it serves a very practical purpose. Besides healing, his body requires large amounts of calories just to function in general.

Being part dragon, he's capable of using magic that is more potent than what humans are able to use.

If he gets angry enough he lapses into a calculated sort of feral state where destruction of the opponent is the only thing that matters to him and very little will stop him. Pain and injury no longer register and he doesn't care how much of it he suffers or if he dies in the process, so long as his opponent dies too.

Misc Fact(s):

His favorite food by far is giant spider legs, but he also likes chicken noodle soup and roc eggs. A well enjoyed game around the compound is called "Will Orion eat it" where employees take bets on if they can find something he won't eat. (Sentient creatures don't count.)

My oldest recorded character, he's been around in some form or another since the 90s.
