Aria Valdez

She doesn't remember much about her past as she was taken away from her family at a young age. Most of her childhood was spent in the cult, she remembers that the elders of the cult thought the children about witchcraft and worshiping some unknown god. Every night, after all the children slept, the older cult members would use incense that would release a strange aroma, Aria believes that this was used to help brainwash the children into becoming obedient and mindless followers. She describes being a member as being trapped in an eternal slumber, she will only get glimpses of what she was doing but will quickly fall "asleep". As she grew older, the effects of the incense started to wear off, she will have moments where she would be awake more often. As this continued to occur, she started to come up with a plan to escape, she would sneak around at night and scout the area for any escape. One day, the elder cult members, instructed her and her companions to start summoning their familiars. She summoned a familiar but it was small and feeble, one of the elders out of anger wanted to feed the creature to his familiar but he was quickly stopped by another elder who whispered something to him. He grunted in anger and told Aria to leave with her familiar. She wasn't sure her familiar was let go but just quickly took her familiar to not arouse suspicion. Her familiar was often bullied by other familiars, but she would always try to protect it. She grew attached to her familiar and they formed an inseparable bond.

Escape from the cult

The old man calmed Aria down and invited her to his home. She denied his invitation at first but agreed in the end. She followed the old man to his huge home and introduced Aria to his wife, the wife after their introductions quickly took Aria inside and sat her down at the kitchen table. Aria confused tried to leave but the wife stopped her by giving her a plate full of pancakes. The old man came in and reprimanded his wife for being a bit too aggressive to the poor girl. He shouted back explaining that Aria looked frail and hungry, so, she quickly whipped up something nice for her. The old man just sighed and sat down across from Aria and he encouraged her to eat her breakfast. They all had enjoyed their breakfast in peace, after their meal, the old man asked again what she was doing in the barn. Her heart started to race, she was worried if these people were someone she would be able to trust. The old man cut her silent and simply said, "Are you part of that cult?". Her heart sank deep and quickly tried to say something but stopped and calmed her down. He explained that she isn't in any danger and that she wasn't the first cult member to escape. The old man added that he and his wife have been sheltering escaped cult members and helping them return to society. After some discussion, the old couple decided to take Aria in until she is ready to re-enter society again.

Farm

Present

After a while of getting used to her new surroundings, she started to help and do farm work. The old couple taught her a lot of things that'll help her out later in life, she enjoyed her time on the farm and saw the old couple as her parents. After the incident in the barn with Cayden, she had to go up to the old couple and explain that she found an escapee in the barn. The old couple as usual welcomed the "escapee" and gave the same treatment that Aria received. Aria and Cayden helped around the farm until one day, they finally decided they are ready enough to move on to the big city. The old couple wanted both Aria and Cayden to stay but then realized that it would be best if they pursued whatever their heart desired.
