she/they | 21 years old (present time) | lives in Hakone

Historian trying to scrounge up enough money to study abroad in Leik. Or, at least they say they are...

- Works as a library assistant in Hakone's underground library: The Library of Horrace Hakone, the First Hakone King.

- Adores snails (especially when they rain down from her roof! ...if that is a thing in Nuiva.)

- Has the highest form of education possible in Hakone, sans royal education -- applied but had a nervous breakdown in her senior year (of high school?)

- Studies Hakone history and Nuivan anthropology in her downtime. House is filled with books. SO MANY BOOKS. 

- Nervous wreck. Rarely goes outside. Parents got sick of her--and her boxes, books, papers, and pens--and kicked her out after graduation. They were generally cold, closed-off snobs Nuivans, so she somewhat expected it. Roomed with a friend until she started making enough money to live on her own. (Lowkey in love with that friend but uhhh we don't talk about that.) 

- Biological mom was from Kura; snob of a dad met her, fell in love, got her pregnant, proposed, and was accepted. He was a player and cheated throughout his entire marriage; Viola's biological mom didn't mind until he stopped spending time with them, which strained their marriage. (He worried his presence stressed out Viola's biological mom. She just wanted to spend more time with him.) Eventually, he took Viola and left.

---> As the majority of Nuivans are asexual, it's kinda impressive (in a bad way) that he was able to cheat so much.

- Dad married some rich, snobby Nuivan from Hakone sometime during Viola's childhood.

- Full name is Violet Wintergreen. Prefers to go by Viola; hearing her full name reminds her of her mom. (She was her mom's "Sprouting Violet".)

- She still contacts her mom, although her phone (if those exist in this timeline,, the medieval aesthetic is confusing me) scares her. (She usually ends up burying it under whatever she's working on at the moment.)
