Where does one go once they're dead to the world? That was the question that Nozomi found herself facing one rainy night, having lost everything only mere hours before. There was no 'home' to return to, no one she could lean on for more than a few hours at a time. So Nozomi, being a survivor, decided to throw away the future that fate held in store for her and instead carve her own way forward with similarly abandonded people. Together, they've managed to create a bustling caravan full of people society deems 'wrong'. Their loss!

Nozomi never imagined that she would eventually come to be in charge of so many people. She doesn't necessarily like the pedestal that being a leader comes with, finding it far too lonely, and so she does her best to make sure she doesn't accidentally isolate herself from the community that she's growing. Nozomi has always said that her biggest strengths are her compassion and loyalty, but those are both hard to cultivate when you find yourself drifing away from the people you're meant to be helping. Therefore Nozomi redoubles her efforts to be hands-on involved, often leading or helping out with day-to-day tasks that definitely don't require her presence.

Abilities

CENTER OF ATTENTION: As much as Nozomi tries to deny it, she's got a wonderful ability to take charge of and lead groups of people. Though she's not charismatic in the flashy way that pop-stars are, the way she speaks gives meaning to the work people do and she's phenomenal at motivating her peers above and beyond their normal threshholds. Despite this, she never takes credit for others' work and usually downplays her contribution to projects, even when it was integral to the completion or success of said project.

SURVIVALIST: Nozomi is an expert at staying alive with nothing. She knows how to not poison herself foraging, how to hunt and cook her own meals, and even how to make her own clothes and shelter. With her around, your general day-to-day needs will almost certainly be met, even if it's in a way that you're not quite used to seeing. She can even administer first aid decently well, so you'll not only be surviving, but thriving as well! ...Hopefully.

• Nozomi is fluent in East Alternian and will often switch when upset.
• All of Nozomi's gold jewelry comes from one of her close friends in the city, one of the only people in civilization that knows she's still alive.
• Nozomi embroiders the patterns on her own clothes during her downtime.
• The Caravan has its own calendar for holidays and celebrations, but generally uses standard Alternian timekeeping.
• Nozomi was originally from the desert, so she had an edge in survival when she first started the compound; desert living was a rude awakening for many of her peers.

Relationships

Azales Xalnio [ Conductor Companion ]

Azales and her Transition Traincar (as Nozomi has playfully dubbed it), were the last stop before Nozomi decided to give up on current civilization. She still sends survivors to Nozomi's camp, although the two haven't talked for some time.

Jinkko Rayett [ Sanctuary Sister ]

Jinkko and Nozomi run remarkably similar compounds; Jinkko's just has more of an emphasis on technology. Nozomi has no problems with Jinkko and has collaborated with her minorly in order to keep both compounds running as smoothly as possible.
