Not wanting to be still in the same city as the place filled with sad memories and its people, she choose to go into a high school where she expect she won't see the same people as the one in her middle school.
Eri, incapable of making friends in her first month being a new student in Nekoma High, was finally... making a friendship with a black cat that lives in a cardboard not far from the school. She shares her half finished bento to the cat and then finally it became a habit fot her. One day, she once again shares her bento until it suddenly rains midway. Fortunately a certain upperclassman arrived to help by sharing his umbrella. That's the first time, she meet Kuroo Tetsurou.
