The self-proclaimed leader of The Seekers (not that Verity wanted to argue with him about it). He's very rash and has a tendency to not think things through thoroughly, which causes its fair share of problems while in mystery dungeons. He wants to prove his worth and continue the legacy his parents, Mara and Alastor, who were famous explorers, left behind. He wants to think that they would be proud of him, but he also wants to prove his worth to himself.

He's fiercely protective of Kaira, to the point where he forbids her from doing any sort of fighting. This causes a lot of contention between the siblings, as Kaira feels smothered by her brother and believes that Finnian is just controlling her for the sake of it. Little does she know that Finnian has a lot of unresolved turmoil inside, and doesn't realize the harm he's causing...

He also has mixed feelings on his aunt-uncle/godparent Ajax, understanding that they've tried their best to care for the siblings through their grief, but also resents them for being emotionally distant.

•The scarf he wears around his neck belonged to his father before his passing. It's his most treasured keepsake, even if it's becoming a bit worn.

•Greatly values Verity as a friend, as she was the first Pokémon to truly appreciate his worth. He does his best to help her in kind.
