Shades looks stoic and standoffish at first, but once you get to know him, he is very kind and warm-hearted.
He's very cheerful, and as a healer/support type of person, he wants everyone to get along. Shades tries not to be a pushover though, and there are times where his patience runs thin very quickly. He is very loyal. He'll have your back no matter what.

Backstory: Early Life

Shades is a Gryphon born in a very unstable Kingdom and was recruited at a very early age to become the Princess' bodyguard. Despite his knight status, he was granted very little protection as most magical creatures were being slain left and right.
Eventually he was framed for a coup and was sentenced to death. The very last gryphon dying stirred awake a vengeful force- a Sun God named Sol. Sol crushed the Kingdom out of revenge, and when there was nothing but embers left, an amnesiac Shades returned to the world of the living..

Backstory: Modern Era

The world Shades returned to was vastly different than the one he had first died in. Technology has evolved so fast he could barely keep up.
Unfortunately much like the past, people considered to be of Old World Magic (Fantasy creatures) were hunted down and 'studied'. Shades was able to live like a regular member of society for awhile, until he was forced to be on the run from hired mercenaries working for Empyrean Inc.

• Named himself after a good friend of his- Spades
• Sometimes goes by his human name 'Sergio Guerrero Torres'
• Weapon of choice is a crossbow, either a spear or trident
• He's a very good singer
• He is 6'9" tall with a wingspan of 20ft
• Bird counterpart is a Torresian Crow, and his Cat counterpart is a Mainecoon with smoke pattern
