Shades is known as 'Captain' from a post-apocalyptic setting. He's ended up in a world much more cruel than he's ever known and had to take a battle-hardened approach to survive. Unlike the healer path his main counterpart is focused on, Captain is more of a pilot and mechanic. Currently, he doesn't really have much of a crew just yet- he's a lone wolf with enough connections at a distance to get him by.

Captain is blind in one eye and tends to dress in casual clothing with lightweight armor. He often wears a black leather jacket, a red shirt, and black techwear-style pants.

In this Universe, Shades is either a cyborg, robot or an AI of sorts. His task is to handle facility jobs far too dangerous for regular humans, and act as security to protect the area he's assigned to. When he's not working, he tinkers around with mechanical items and does some casual engineering in his spare time.

As a cyborg, he is still a gryphon, but is missing a lot of the left side of his body. Luckily for him, both his wings are intact, but he cannot fly as well as he used to. Shades' cybernetic parts are made of grey carbon fiber with lime green lights and accents. As a robot/AI, his shell is dark purple, he has a screen for a face, and his 'fur' is mainly for aesthetic reasons.

Shades is just a straight up dragon in this AU. In his original universe, gryphons and dragons are pretty much two sides of the same species, so this variant extra dragon more than usual.

In D&D, he is a Dragonborn Sorcerer who tends to use elemental magic, mainly fire and lightning. Draconic breath weapon is fire, reflecting his Gold Dragon ancestry. His highest stats are Charisma and Constitution, followed by a bit of Dexterity. He has a background in being a guild artisan as a blacksmith.

Shadestrike is a Shadowclan warrior and a medicine cat. He is a black mainecoon with a subtle smoke pattern and amber eyes. He had only planned to be a warrior, but his strange healing abilities- presumably gifted by Starclan- convinced him to take the path of a healer. His mentor was Spadeheart, and together they discovered breakthroughs that could prevent a lot of unecessary deaths. Somehow this brought controversy, as they were accused of trying to get nine lives without being a Clan leader.

Spadeheart was killed in a targeted skirmish, and a paranoid Shadestrike managed to flee, heavily injured and barely hanging on. He left Clan life to become a loner, and outlived every single clan cat he's ever known. Shades became a bit of a myth- he scoffs at the notion. Lately, he's sought out by descendants of his relatives in an attempt to reconnect.

Shades is a regular human adult in this AU- Shades is his nickname and Sergio Guerrero Torres is his official name. He is tan, has black (stylized as purple) wavy hair typically tied up in a spiky ponytail, and is built like a wrestler, standing tall at six foot two. His early life is relatively more mundane than his main counterpart, family is a pretty big deal in his culture. Sergio is also bilingual, able to speak English and Tagalog fluently.

His occupation and outfit depends on whatever media AU he's in, though it tends to be security/bouncer jobs and formal wear. Some AUs include: Half-Life, Star Trek, ATLA, and so on. Sometimes he is a werewolf, and this is his human form.

Pretty much the same as Human AU above, except circumstances in his life have led him to live in Japan and go by a different name. He speaks Japanese fluently, but has an accent that slips in sometimes. Toriyama Shinji finds himself involved with the yakuza any time he thinks he's found a decent job. He does not formally join any Family, nor is interested in such- however, he ends up crossing paths and befriending certain key figures (Majima Family...). He considers them good friends, but if they cross a boundary, Toriyama will not hesitate to fight them about it.

Toriyama's story ranges from Yakuza 0 to the current ryu Ga Gotoku game timeline. Some AUs include: Mob Psycho 100 where he is an esper
