Boyd is a surgeon in high demand, being one of only a few willing to do the procedures he does. As such, he travels for work fairly often. Lately, this has landed him in the middle of several odd events tangentially related to his old friend, Deadman.

Although he does not entirely grasp what exactly his friend has gotten himself into, Boyd has aided in the investigation to some degree a few times now. If nothing else, it provides a good story to bring home to his beloved wife.

--> Biography

Boyd’s father is an English landlord, and his mother an American actress. He grew up in England, where his mother was pursuing a career in abstract drama plays and the occasional musical, and his father was renting out properties inherited from his father before him. When Boyd was 10, his parents split and his mother, Myra, moved to New York. Boyd went with her for 5 years before being sent back to England for a “proper English education”.

While attending college in England, he met Deadman and Shrike. In his second year of college, he and Deadman began dating and spent the next year on and off with him before Deadman ended it more permanently, agreeing to remain friends. A few months later, Deadman dropped out of college but remained in contact through letters. Boyd went on to get a doctorate in general surgery before moving to America to take care of his mother (not that she needed, he was more so tired of England). After a few months living with his mother in New York, he got a job at the Massachusetts General Hospital and moved to Boston.

After a year or so living in Boston, Boyd attended a performance his mother was participating in at the Colonial Theatre. While there, he was seated beside one Lucille and was enamored at first sight. He spoke to her during the intermission and learned she had just moved to Boston and was looking for a job, and he offered to put in a word to get her a job archiving patient data at the hospital.

After barely a month of knowing each other and working together, they began dating and were married less than a year later. They moved in together and 4 years later they adopted Serendipity and Kelly. Lucille has stopped working at the hospital to focus on her writing and taking care of the girls, while Boyd is often traveling across the U.S. due to the high demand for his specific skills (doing ye olde transgender operations)

Habits: Reads at least 1 chapter of whatever book Lucille has most recently recommended to him before bed. Takes a walk every morning. When he's home, he never skips having breakfast with his family.

Frequents: He rarely is in one place long enough to frequent a location, however when he Is in Boston, he is often found at home with his wife and kids.

Vices: Anything that seems like it could turn into an interesting story to relay to his wife.
