Grimm
Overview
Grimm is the Entity of death, and ruler of the underworld. They used to be married to Willow before she died, who they are still incredibly emotionally attached to. They built her a special grave site in the underworld, in Willows favourite place, her gardens. Grimm surrounded her grave with rows of her favourite flower, in a multitude of colours, the hyacinth. They are extremely proficient in magic. Grimm and Trinket worked together, with Grimms magical ability and Trinkets technical ability to create a magical set of dice, designed to punish incredibly selfish people.
Grimm is a key player in 'the split', along with Eve. Eve bears the sole responsibility for Willows death, and Grimm will never forgive her for that. Eve and Willow were both in competition, both loved by their people and wield extraordinary power. So Eve did the only thing she could to pull ahead. Asked her good friend Destiny, the entity of fate, to put Willows name on the top of deaths' list, the list of people Grimm must kill, they dont have a choice. Grimm was heartbroken, and couldnt bear to tell Willow, so one quiet night, they put a magical poison in her drink, and she passed away, painlessly in her sleep. As she faded away, Grimm whispered their final goodbye. This was the reason Grimm created the dice, to punish people like Eve. Part of them hoped one day, Eve would get her hands on it, and roll it herself.

Grimm is an early riser, but also tends to not go to bed until late, so they rely on Gricha to give them energy. As long as Grimm has energy they find it easy to focus, even if the work is ridiculously boring, as it often is. Since Willows death, Grimms diet has been poor, never seemingly find the time to learn how to cook. Simply buying baked goods and other snacks instead. Even though Grimm dislikes their soul tone, they keep it that way because Willow liked it. Grimm tends to be very critical of other people. They use pet names with almost anyone, although with people they dislike, they make sure it comes off as mocking. However, they have accidently referred to Trinket as 'babe' and 'my love' on multiple occasions. Grimm is a talented multi-tasker, a skill born from millenia of dillegent work. They tend to overthink, and this leads them to avoid alot of risk. They have a naturally suspicious nature.
Grimms communication skills are poorer than they should be for a ruler. Before Willows death, she was very much the face of royalty, doing the speeches and people facing portion, while Grimm did everything behind the scenes. They made a good team. However while Grimm is not a good speaker, they're an incredible listener. Often accidently eavesdropping and hearing things they are not supposed too. They have stopped many attempts at overthrowing them this way. Theyre written communication is also very good, the extra time allows them to fully communcate theyre often intense or complex emotions. Grimm is poor at non verbal communication, theyre facial expressions rarely portraying what they think.
Grimm only shows affection to a select few people, people they truly trust. Grimm finds it difficult to communicate their feelings through words, so instead they tend to express their love for people through gifts. However, when recieving affection they prefer to have it communicated verbally. As Willow prefers to recieve affection through words aswell, this is something Grimm really had to work on, and managed to break through their barriers, with Willow and Willow alone. It was extremely important to them to make sure Willow felt loved and appreciated like they did.

Design notes
- Grimms hair reaches mid ear, this continues all the way round their head with an undercut at the back.
- Grimms eyes are slanted slightly upward, they turn cat-like when annoyed or angry.
- Grimm has cute features, which is in sharp contrast to their often menacing and threatening demeanor.
- Grimm is short, but their legs are long in proportion with the rest of their body.
- Grimms fingers are long and slender, which gives them an advantage when playing music.

Early Existence
- Grimm wanted to be assigned Entity of Justice, they were disappointed with being assigned death.
- At first, Grimm struggled with their job, crying over every being they had to kill.
- Grimm fell for Willow first, however, was too shy to do anything about it.
It took a while for Grimm to get used to their job as death, and emotionally adjust. Other Entities were often cruel to them, calling them weak and soft. However, Trinket and Willow helped them through it, telling them caring about people was a good thing.
Grimm fell for Willow quickly, she was kind and popular among entities. They found it difficult to believe Willow would ever fall for them. After some prodding about their weird, distracted behaviour, Grimm confided in Suki and Trinket about their feelings. Trinket and Suki encouraged them to confess to Willow, which Grimm adamently refused. Trinket and Suki tried to get them together mulitple times, but something always ended up going wrong. Willow eventually began dating someone else, which left Grimm very jealous, and a little bitter that they had lost their chance. However, Willows relationship quickly ended, and Trinket and Suki were right back on their matchmaking endeavour, which ended when Suki accidently blurted out Grimms feelings to Willow, leaving Grimm mortified, and they ran off. Soon later, Willow decided to ask Grimm on a date, and the rest is history.
Post-Willows Death
- Grimm was upset and angry, fixated on revenge.
- Grimm struggled with coming to terms with her death, often spending hours and hours at her grave. Usually getting dragged off by Trinket or Suki to cheer them up.
- Grimm began to find it harder to express themselves to people, often bottling things up on their own.
After Willows death, Grimm simply couldnt to their royal duties anymore. Infact, they found it difficult to do much of anything. So their duties were taken up by Trinket and Cosmos, who did their best to run it in their stead. Soon, sadness turned to anger and spite, after venting to Trinket, Grimm had teleported themself to Destiny, trying their absolute hardest to not smite them right there. They had yelled for days and days on end. Other Entities that came to visit Destiny for various reasons, promptly decided to come back another time. Often gossiping about what theyd heard with other Entities. After a long time of being permanently screamed at, Destiny gave in and yelled back at them that it wasnt their fault. They had only done what Eve had told them to.
.Grimm immediately teleported to Eve, screaming at her and moving to attack her. Suki restrained them and dragged them away, saying that she understood how they felt, but this wasnt the right way to deal with it. Word immediately got around by Entities that had seen this happen, and arguements had broken out, fracturing the relations between Entities. Those supporting Grimm moved to the Underworld, and those supporting Eve remained in the Overworld. Grimm took to doing the bear minimum for their job, bottling up their anger, waiting for the time they could use it to eliminate Eve, for good. This is when Grimm and Trinket devised the dice, a way for Grimm to release their anger on people who deserved it, without causing any real damage.
Current Day
- Grimm is hungry for someone to roll the dice, and get a taste of the revenge they crave.
- Grimm has become detached, cold and cruel. Trinket and Suki long to see an inch of the person they used to be, but are starting to think theyre gone for good.
- Grimm finds it difficult to confide in people, so has taken to writing unsent letters to Willow to express themself.
Grimm spends alot of their time alone, often taking care of the gardens, or playing music. They write letters to Willow, often they are apologies for their actions, apologising for the person theyve become, sometimes they talk of life in the underworld, let them know how Trinket and Cosmos are doing, sometimes they write about how much they miss them. Grimm has a large collection of them by this point, but rarely goes back to reread them, and would be absolutely mortified if someone else did. However, sometimes Suki will sneak into their room and read them.
Grimms anger simmer beneath the surface, they have been diligently practising in magic in order to exact their revenge. However, they don't tell anyone about their plans. Trinket, however, can tell that theyre planning something, and are fully prepared to get them out of any trouble they get in

Skills & abilities
Space-time Rift
A skill taught to them by Cosmos, involving tearing a hole in space-time to travel through. This allows Grimm to essentially teleport. It is a complex magical skill, only available to those who are extremely proficient. The tearing open of space-time makes a loud, thunder-like crash, on both ends. When done properly, space-time is not permanently effected.
Death Eater
A unique spell that allows Grimm to easily poison any victims food, and leave no trace of poison in their system. Thus theyre death is often put to natural causes. This is how Grimm takes care of alot of people on their list
What luck?!
When Grimm is around living beings, they experience an unnatural amount of bad luck. This ability cannot be turned off or stopped. However, it means if Grimm ever ventures to the overworld to gamble, they will certainly always win.
Willow was the person Grimm cared for most. They worked perfectly as a team. They worked hard to fulfil eachothers needs, even though theyre love languages were often incompatible, they lived happily.
As millenia flew by, they grew closer and closer, ruling over the underworld. Taking part in eachothers hobbies. Grimm took up gardening, and Willow picked up the flute. Willow also created the Gricha bean specifically for Grimms tastes, which Grimm was very thankful for.
Trinket and Grimm have been friends for a very long time and trust eachother. Trinket helped run the underworld directly after Willows death, and still helps Grimm run it to this day.
Trinket is a very kind and supportive friend, only wanted the best for Grimm. Trinket acknowledges Grimms struggling, and is filled with regret and anger, but yet, Trinket wishes for the Grimm he used to know to return.
Suki is a happy and cheerful person, whick Grimm direly needs in their life, especially at specific points.
However, Grimm knows she has a very close relationship with Eve, and so has a difficult time trusting her.
