Magical Capacity: High, specializing in Proper Geomancy

Physical Ability: Average Strength, Higher speed

Overview:

Jasper, much unlike his twin sister Carnelian (Carne), has been raised to behave with the upmost propiety. He acts and speaks strategically at all times, never breaking composure or ruining the illusion of civilized strength and confidence. Jasper was raised primarily by his unyielding and abusive father Cornelius, (and a team of servants), as his mother had been long since broken and disconnected from reality. After his sisters escape the abuse became much worse in his fathers attempt to break him into complacency.  When he had learned all he could from the power hungry and violent Cornelius, Jasper claimed the title as head of the family and the business as well after discreetly assassinating him, taking over the business as the youngest heir in history to date.

His Past:

Hailing from the wealthy and upstanding Lovette family, Jasper refused his sisters help in escaping when they were children,  choosing to remain protected by his family name as opposed to struggling on the streets with the countless bounties he was likely to obtain. The Lovette family deals in geomancy and has a tight monopoly on the gem trade throughout Arcadia, and particularly the Capital where their main estate resides. Jasper has many cousins and extended family that also deal in the business but only one sibling. His twin sister, Carne (Carnelian Lovette).

Not all is well within the Lovette estate however, as the business is often shady and the family itself has many dark secrets. For their entire lives, the twins lived in fear of their abusive perfectionist father, Cornelius Lovette, who also took it upon himself to train the children in the ways of Geomancy and the business at large. It was during one of these training sessions that his young sister, snapped and assaulted their father before fleeing the estate to evade their father's abuse, leaving Jasper behind to deal with his fathers rage alone. Despite her offer to take him with her, Jasper blames Carne for their family falling apart and the increased abuse he suffered into his adulthood. He thinks that if she could just have pretended and dealt with it until they were of age he could have taken the business for himself and saved them both, and because of this his hate towards her has done nothing but grow. When he became an adult and realized his father had nothing left to show him, he poisoned his tea in the very same tea set Carne used to gouge out his eye. Using his new found power, he covered up the crime and started his reign on the monopoly with murder in his arsenal.

Current View:

Jasper is unendingly busy with the family business but he maintains a bounty on his twin sister. He plans to execute her for her crimes once she is caught and often becomes enraged at the mere mention of her. In his words he "has no sister ". However, this contradicts the thoughts he has when the estate goes quiet, and hes left with just himself. He continues to wear the golden locket with a portrait of him and his sister within,  claiming he's holding onto it so he can never forget her crimes, but in reality, despite all of his hate, he doesn't know why he keeps it.

The wounds inflicted on him by his sister are not his only ailments however. Jasper wakes daily from horrifying nightmares of the abuse he suffered, and insists he has an entire wing of the estate to himself to hide this fact. He considers any visible evidence of his mental wounds to be a weakness and currently refuses to acknowledge them. In addition to this, his morals have become greatly corroded. He doesn't hesitate to eliminate threats to his hold on power reguarless of who he must hurt to do so.
