I really enjoy historically accurate characters and it excites me to see so much thought put into this character!
I've come across plenty of your characters before, and just like them, Hayato is once again a great example of characters who are drawn and written realistically being really interesting and fun to read about!
Am I seeing it correct that his main story centers around a more traditionally based Japanese villager suddenly coming into contact with a foreign culture that differs strongly from his own? I like his struggle between on the one hand his strongly honourable and deadpan attitude towards his job and his people, and on the other his coming to terms with his own sexuality.
I'm definitely interested in reading about some of the shenanigans that happen to him after the man in the metal dragon arrives!
You'd be correct! That is what his story centers around. I have yet to write his story out, but I definitely do plan on it... I have a few more books from his time era I want to read first to make sure I have a solid grasp on things like culture before I actually write it... I like to try and be as historically accurate as possible :) (I'm just a big history nerd)
