Penumbra

Penumbra was born in a Light lair to blue-feathered parents. For many years, he was a kind and open Skydancer with bright blue plumage...until he joined the Amitola clan and met Senka and Tsillah. In an even stranger case than Bergamot, Penumbra befriended them...and began to learn to use Shadow magic. As his Light body was not adapted to use Shadow magic, his body changed. His feathers darkened and thorns grew around his limbs, and yet, his eyes remained bright yellow. Nowadays, one of his eyes has turned purple, and the other has darkened to a more amberlike shade.

He is the clan's Shadow ambassador, more through happenstance than through intention.

Penumbra is a cold, closed-off Skydancer of few words. He barely speaks and barely leaves his room, to the point that a lot of the newer dragons don't even know he's around. However, when he's not in his room, he's in Tsillah's. If push comes to shove, he and his mate will join with the others in battle.

Penumbra is a dark mage, with his magic being an unusual, erratic mixture of Light and Shadow. The lamp in his room, usually a bright, rich yellow, often flickers a dark purple, and thorny vines grow around it.

Penumbra and Tsillah are close mates, often visiting each other's rooms and helping each other with magic and alchemy.
