A sickly little pup, brought half-drowned (frankly, presumed dead) to Aster late one June night, Jason has commanded attention since the beginning. Perhaps it was the date he was brought in- just as that Thursday became Friday the thirteenth. Perhaps it was his striking markings, slate gray and deep red; or how even though he recovered quickly and showed no lasting damage, the pup never made a sound.

Jason is still a silent figure around Mistyoak, though no one expected the tiny pup to grow into the solid, hulking figure that now roams the grounds! He shows little interest in herding or agility trials- in fact, Jason is one of the slowest of the pack. His endurance is phenomenal though, and he is passionate about nosework and searching games, especially through the woods or along the lakeshore. He spends most of his time away from other dogs, only really seemingly to tolerate May- perhaps due to their shared adoration of Mistyoak's beehives?
