Mistyoak's Collies

Founded by Sidney Shepard, the kennels are a recent addition to the ever-growing Mistyoak community. Initially serving for a few rescues she had taken in, the kennels now focus on bringing in working dogs of all sorts, as well as serving as a haven for those who need to be shown some love and kindness, and perhaps find a forever home to call their own. 

Shepard's own home also serves as the kennel space for dogs who don't live with others in the community- she only needs a couple rooms, really, why not convert the rest? There is a wide, well-fenced backyard fitted with plenty of toys and several shelters for the more adventurous dogs, while inside is for those who prefer life's creature comforts. All dogs are trained in basic commands and tricks, and those who show promise are given extra training in agility, sports, and/or tasks around the farm. Though there are some forays into competition, Mistyoak's focus as working farmland and wildlife preservation takes precedence, and the dogs are given fairly simple names that don't follow any particular theme.
