Although Marin is quite popular and loved by many, she can sometimes feel very self-conscious about the way she looks and the way she dresses. Perhaps she doesn't look as cute as the other girls who wore frilly pink clothing and it makes her very envious of them. Marin is unaware of her own unique charismatic charm that pulls people in.

Relationships
Marin was previously in an idol unit with Umiko! They were pretty close friends and still stay in contact with each other even after their group was disbanded. Umi has previously offered to help Marin back into the idol industry once again but she has refused the offer saying she is happy being able to perform by the beach for the locals. It’s difficult for both of them to talk since they both have busy schedules but sometimes Umi comes by the beachside to have a drink and they do a little catch-up. The two are quite close because of their previous experiences together.
