her name means "spider foe".
quiet. chill.
specializes in fire magic.
teammates with Joru and Elliya. They're calling themselves Team JES for now, but they might rename it later.
"Dress go spinny~."
the most evasive of Team JES on land. She's pretty agile from growing up in a forest, weaving through all those trees. However, Joru gets an evasion bonus when he's underwater. Too bad hardly any of their adventures involve being in his element.

- "She has burst like the music of angels. The light of the sun."
- Walking the Clouds edited by Grace L. Dillon. Unlike me, she loves the slipstream section. Good for her! I wish I could appreciate it properly, but unfortunately, it's a little too slippery for me. However, one lesson I took away from this anthology was in the introduction to The Black Ship by Gerry William. "It's been noted that in western novels one finds oneself by leaving home, while in Native American storytelling one finds oneself by returning home."

- âI do not want to be held in contempt of court. I donât wanna be fined. I donât want to go to jail for this,â Kaâeo told Hawaii Public Radio. âBut if thereâs any reason for me, Kaleikoa Kaâeo, to go to jail, it would be to defend our right as a people to speak our language in our own homeland.â
- "'...the state government continues to place barriers on âĹlelo HawaiĘťi, 40 years after Hawaiiâs constitution was amended to recognize the Hawaiian language as an official language of the state,' OHA executive director KamanaĘťopono Crabbe said in a statement."
- The FBI's War on Black-Owned Bookstores by Joshua Clark Davis.
- "As late as 1966, black-owned bookstores operated in fewer than a dozen American cities, and most of them struggled to stay in business. Within just a few years, however, the number of stores had skyrocketed. Dozens of new stores opened throughout the country in the final years of the â60s, roughly tripling their numbers since the start of the decade. As The New York Times reported in 1969, 'A surge of book-buying is sweeping through Black communities across the country.' What had been about a dozen black bookstores operating in the mid-1960s grew to over 50 by the early 1970s, and around 75 by the middle of the decade."
- "In Hooverâs eyes, black-owned bookstores represented a coordinated network of hate-spewing extremists. His clumsy invocation of the phrase 'African-type bookstores' betrayed his lack of understanding of pan-Africanism, a philosophy that people of African descent around the world should unite in pursuit of shared political and social goals. To Hoover, radical anti-government organizations actively fomented black Americansâ growing fascination with Africa in the hopes of using it as a weapon against whites. But Hoover grossly mischaracterized the organic groundswell of popular interest in African history, culture, and politics spreading throughout African American communities."

- Out of Darkness edited by Dan Coxon. Again, got my copy from Kickstarter. Which in my mind is basically the same thing as buying it from a bookstore (as least as far as "this reviewer's spent money on something, that means they may be biased to give it a more positive or negative review" thoughts are concerned). Like James Stephanie Sterling, I wouldn't back it if I didn't want it to succeed. Plus, I don't act like what I'd consider a traditional reviewer anyway. I'm poor enough, and also hard-of-reading enough that any book I talk about is a money and time sink for me. I'm a hype man, not a salesman. If I'm talking about someone else's work, there's a 99% guarantee that I like it.
