About

Lilith was born an aasimar and had a family of witches. They were all victims of a witch hunt that spread through the country and Lilith lost her mother at the stake. Her father had left them many years before and was the one heading these witch hunts. Lilith vowed to kill all the witch hunters and with the help of her angelic guide, Sartael, she succeeded. Because of this and other reasons, Sartael had a fall from grace and became an archdevil in the Nine Hells. Lilith sacrificed her father to become a lich and as an act of faith and worship she gave her phylactery to Sartael, who they then swallowed and now holds in their chest. In return for the power necessary to kill all the witch hunters, Sartael who now went as The Red Veil, asked Lilith to gather worshippers and create a religion with the end goal of becoming a god and taking revenge on the Celestial Plane for exiling them.

Through the years Lilith has worked to build this religion and gather hundreds of followers. They have dedicated themself to this single purpose. They’re a workaholic and this has caused a few funny interactions between them and The Red Veil over the years. The Red Veil cares about Lilith and sometimes they suggest they take a much earned break and go meet people and make friends and get laid maybe. Through the years Lilith has also suffered from some memory issues and they’re not entirely sure why they have memory gaps or how some things don’t add up. This comes coupled by the fact that they hallucinate a woman on occasion. It’s always the same person and they can’t remember when this hallucination started. The hallucination sometimes feels so real they believe the person exists and forgets it’s all in their head. The woman’s name is Meliora and the hallucination appears randomly with no obvious triggers. While the hallucination is harmless and rarely speaks, Lilith is still left wondering why it happens and the times she has brought it up to The Red Veil they can’t seem to find anything wrong with Lilith so she just got used to it over time. Despite this, there’s still something in the back of their head telling them that something’s not right.

Recently they’ve started to fall asleep on ocassion and this has alarmed Lilith since they don't sleep. They get odd dreams that feel more like deja vu; little glimpses of moments they’ve never lived and witnessing their younger self live moments they don’t remember. Before their dreams go any further or they try to go deeper into the dream, they always get woken up by horrible echoing screams of the dead. As time passes and the hallucination of the woman named Meliora begin to appear more often, Lilith’s mind will start to betray them as they begin confusing these dreams of a life they never had as part of their own reality.

Temple of The Red Veil

The basis of the religion is "Vengeance, Retribution, and Death". There’s a lot of clerics and warlocks but not everyone has to be a spellcaster. The temple welcomes all and Lilith, the High Priest, makes sure to meet everyone at least once to get a good idea of what kind of person they are and to see how or what they can contribute. If they’re not the faith kind of person, Lilith tries to get them to work for The Red Veil and many of these people end up becoming warlocks. If nothing else, Lilith still convinces a lot of people to become nuns and worshippers and convert to the religion. Over the years the religion has grown exponentially. It’s easy to spot followers since they all wear skull face paint and/or masks with dark attire. The Red Veil is also a very present “God” (they’re not a god yet but no one needs to know that), and a lot of people flock to the temple to meet The Red Veil and get their wishes granted in exchange for their worship, work, or a favor.

• One should not permit another person to inflict pain upon oneself. If a person has done one wrong, destroy them.
• Do not kill in the name of The Red Veil unless they themself have given their blessing.
• As the face of The Red Veil always present as one’s best. Do not leave an impression of filth.
• One shall not betray the trust of the Red Veil for that betrayal will be repaid in blood.

Trivia

• Lilith was inspired by the band Ghost and their song "Witch Image". Meanwhile Sartael/The Red Veil was inspired by the song “From The Pinnacle To The Pit”.
• As an act of faith, Lilith gave her phylactery to The Red Veil who swallowed it. Now if you want to kill Lilith, you have to kill the archdevil first.
• Her dad is a combination of Count Frollo and John Smith so literally a scumbag. He had political power and wanted control over people born with magic. This became a whole movement that ended in genocide over the years.
• Has never seen tiddies in their life.
• She’s very old fashioned when it comes to dating. She will court the person that interests her and it will take a million years before getting to first base.
• Dresses like a victorian vampire.
• She only lets people she trusts see her without the face paint.
• The Red Veil calls Lilith “Little Prince”.
• Lilith is able to manifest dark feathered wings, a remnant of her past aasimar self.
