Dusty

They/Them

Dusty is a rather unusual sight to see, their parents are a half dragon and an open sea mer, and as such they resemble a bit of both, with a more grey-toned skin and three-pointed ears like their father (the mer) and the clawed feet, hands and tail resembling their mom (half-dragon). 

Dusty is extremely mischievous and often gets into trouble, but they’d never intentionally harm someone, rather they just cause inconvenience or pull pranks. They can be really sweet too if they know you and care for you.
Dusty makes potions, but they haven’t been formally taught, so the potions sometimes go wrong and are often unpredictable. People still buy them, as unpredictable as they are, because if you're lucky these potions have been known to treat supposedly incurable diseases and even grant their drinkers remarkable, if temporary, abilities.
They also love to tease others, but do know their limits and when they should stop. Basically, it’s fun to make people embarrassed or annoyed, but not angry or sad from their actions (unless someone REALLY deserves it)

Dusty is very caring towards their family and friends, and although their community is often annoyed by pranks, it’s not a hate-annoy, but more of a *sigh* “Dusty’s at it again”, type thing. They know that that’s how Dusty is and since they dont push it too far and are also very kind and helpful to others, the community is more than happy to accept their mischievous personality. Dusty is very popular with younger children and will go about setting up pranks with them or join them in a game.

Dusty is also the only known person to willingly enter, navigate, and leave the haunted woods completely unscathed. These woods are where Dusty gathers ingredients for their potion making
